Averi turned her head and looked into the most beautiful green eyes she had ever seen. The man brought her hand up and kissed it.
"Well its very nice to meet you Averi. So, who were you looking for? Your boyfriend?"
Averi giggled softly.
"Oh no, I don't have a boyfriend. I was looking for my friend Blaire."
"I see. I'm surprised you don't have a boyfriend though."
"And why is that?"
"Because you are so beautiful."
Averi felt herself blush.
Not now Averi! She scolded, Keep your cool.
"So ummm, do you want to dance?" Kevin asked timidly.
"Sure," Averi said smiling.
Averi finished her drink and stood up. Kevin took her hand and led her out on to the dance floor. Averi was a bit nervous as she and Kevin began to dance. She was always nervous when she was dancing with someone. Especially when that person was a stranger and as gorgeous as Kevin.
There is no need to be nervous Averi. He is a gentleman.
"You seem nervous,"He whispered in her ear.
"No, no I'm not," Averi denied.
"Yes you are. I can tell. It's ok though, I understand."
Averi smiled.
He is a gentleman, she thought.

Kevin smiled.
She's even cute when she's embarrassed.
The song changed to a slow one and he pulled Averi close. She tensed up a bit, but quickly relaxed. Kevin looked down at Averi and smiled. The song changed to "Don't Wanna lose you now" and Kevin tensed up.
I hope she doesn't recognize my voice, Kevin thought. She doesn't seem to know who I am yet. Or maybe she does and she isn't letting on.
Kevin loosened up a bit.
Oh well, If there is anything to develop, she's going to find out.
Kevin tightened his grip around Averi's waist and pulled her closer. He could smell the scent of Averi's coconut conditioner.
He loved the way Averi smelled. He loved the way her body swayed to the music. Averi closed her eyes and laid her head on Kevin's shoulder. Kevin smiled for what seemed to be the 20th time that night. Being with Averi seemed to make him happy even though he had only met her that night.
