"See you tomorrow," I called to AJ.
Jordainne backed out of AJ's driveway and headed to her house.
"Jordy, thanks for doing this for me. I really appreciate it."
"Kiara, you don't have to thank me. I wanted to do it. You're my best friend; I want to see you happy. AJ makes you happy."
"If you weren't driving right now, I'd hug you."
We drove in silence the rest of the way to Jordainne's house. Once again we tried to get upstairs quickly. We had almost made it up the stairs when we heard her mother call up to us.
"How was the movie girls?"
"It was good," we called back.
"That's good."
We hurried into Jordainne's room and sat down on her bed. We joked around for a while until Jordainne turned serious.
"Kiara I have something to ask you. It's kind of personal though."
"Go ahead Jordy."
"Ok, have you and AJ ever, you know, had sex?"
"Yeah we did once"
"Really? What was it like?"
"It wasn't exactly perfect like everyone always hopes. It definitely wasn't what I expected my first time to be like."
"Did it hurt?"
I laughed a little. Jordainne sounded like a little kid who was asking about where babies come from.
"I'm not going to lie to you, it did hurt a little. Why did you want to know?"
"Me and Luke are thinking about doing it. I'm a little scared though."
"Don't do it unless you're completely sure about it. Don't make the same mistake I did."
"You weren't sure about it? Do you regret it?"
"I wish I had waited a little longer. I don't regret it though."
"Does AJ know that you wish you had waited?"
"Not really. I think he has gotten that idea though because we haven't done it since."
"I feel really stupid asking this, but did you like it?'
"Kind of. I think I was too nervous to really enjoy it though."
"Were you nervous about getting caught?"
"A little. I don't know why though. We were at his house so there were no adults there. I think I was afraid of my parents finding out somehow."
"Thank you for talking to me about this Kiara," Jordainne said hugging me.
"Don't worry about it. If you guys decide to do it be careful, ok sweetie?"
"Don't worry we will."
"Good," I said hugging her again.
I yawned and closed my eyes for a minute. Jordainne got up and got me a T-shirt and boxers to wear. I pulled her sleeping bag out of the closet and set it up.
"I'm really glad we can talk about this stuff Kiara."
"Me too."
"Good night."
"Night Jord," I replied drifting off to sleep.
