Trading Terms, Conditions, Info, etc.

I only deal in Yes and Yes related boots. I'm just not as obsessive about any other band.
I do not trade or trade for unreleased demos such as Chagall or Dialog (the 2nd ABWH demos
reportedly stolen from JA's home.)

Tapes just don't do it for me. I'm only interested in CDs/CDRs, and video at this time.
(Exceptions? Of course!) If you have a show on CD but don't have a CDR writer, consider
loaning the CD to me. I'll send the original back, and can even make a couple of extra copies
for you to trade elsewhere.

I am currently using Kodak gold-on-gold CDR blanks from CDROutlet for everything except
where an 80 minute blank is required, where I'm currently using Prodisc silver-on-silver.

If you don't have experience with CDRs, be aware that they aren't 100% CD compatible. You
might find that you have some players that won't read them. I have 4 cd players, all are
able to read my CDRs. I hear that most DVD players (mine included) that are able to play CDs are
NOT able to play CDRs. If you find that you can't play some of the CDRs that I send, I'll make a
good effort to make things right (probably a better effort than you'll get out of the typical boot
dealer.) But I'm comfortable with a wild-ass guess that 95% of CD players will play my CDRs.

I'm not really a big-time video collector, but who knows, I might get more into it.
I can only make VHS NTSC. My duplicating setup is not sophisticated, and I'm sure that there
will be a fair amount of degeneration. I use Sony Premium blank tapes at the moment.

No Labels!

Please do not attach disc labels to any CD that you send to me. I don't currently use any CD labeling system such as Stomper. By default I'll leave the disc blank, but I will scribble title and volume number on the disc if requested.
CD Labels (by Stephanie..) "..My experience with labels from Memorex (applied with their CD LabelMaker Kit on new, clean disks): The labels HAVE peeled up from numerous CD-R media, including Memorex media. I have had to repair a CD changer because the stickers peeled up inside the machine, and several automobile players my friends and I have tried will not accept the disks at all (maybe because of the additional thickness?) If you are concerned about your audio equipment, I recommend that you do not use these labels at all. (I don't know how they react in Playstations.) Although some people have had success with labels, I have several friends with the same problems with Memorex & other labels, so I don't believe this is a unique case or bad batch. I've seen many complaints in newsgroups, so I think it is a problem worth noting. I sent 5 emails over the period of 3 months before Memorex responded to my complaint about this problem.."
By default, I don't send jewel cases. If you'd like jewel cases, it can be arranged. I usually send the discs in plastic or paper sleeves. I usually do send jewel case inserts, printed on decent, but not incredibly expensive paper. I might leave some trimming for you to do. I intend to upload the MS Word source documents to this site someday, but bandwidth and capacity limits might make that difficult. Some of the inserts are "original", some have been altered by me, some have been invented by me. If you want some of my shows but you can't find anything in your collection to interest me, I will trade for compensation of costs. Here's what I'll ask for: - $2 per disc - $1 per jewel case insert (paper and ink) - $1 per jewel case - $1 for packaging - postage, rounded up United States Dollars only - Checks, money orders, cash. For example, let's say you wanted copies of Siberian Khatru, Nagoya Union and Dramatic Yes. 5 discs $10 3 inserts $3 3 jewel cases $3 1 packaging $1 postage in USA $2 ----------------------- total $19 You could cut that by skipping the jewel cases and inserts. You can buy jewel cases in bulk (including slimline 2 disc cases) at CDROutlet (I should charge them for these plugs!) As an alternative to printed jewel case inserts, I'll send a data CD containing the source documents, most of which are currently MS Word .doc files, for $2. I will also do 2 for 1 trades within the USA as long as you're using my brands. I do not condone the selling of this material for profit! These shows are for die-hard YES fanatics to share! All terms subject to change. All terms negotiable. This offer prohibited where void. :^) djp
