Hangin' with the Moffatts

Toronto, July 7/00

What a day!!! To make this review MUCH shorter (yes it IS shorter if you can believe it)...Jenn and Lecy have just written about their backstage experience at PyskoBlast Toronto @ The ACC Friday July 7th 2000!!) :0)

We, Lecy and Jenn were taken to this nice comfy VIP looking area backstage and put all of our bags and stuff on this couch. We were like just walking and hanging around. Then like 5 minutes or so later, this door opens up and THE MOFFATTS come out...We were all in shock...Lecy’s mom was there and was like “Girls, take pictures...” So Lecy like ran after them & got a pic of the back of Dave’s head *oh joy* and Jenn was just like standing in one spot!! *lol!* We followed the guys into this room but of course security wouldn't let us go in. There were windows so we could see inside, but security made everyone leave that area. :( So Lecy ran after this lady she knew (the one that took us backstage), lets call her um, "Tammy" and was like "I feel REALLY bad asking you this, but I’ve met the Moffatts so many times, but have never got the opportunity to have a picture taken with them, could my friend and I PLEASE meet them....?" and "Tammy"'s like “Which way did they go?” So Lecy points to the right. So “Tammy’s” like “OK sure follow me!!!” Jenn was like OMGOMGOMGOMG! Totally spazzing...There were about 5 girls following us and "Tammy’s” like "where do you think you’re going?" to the girls...and they are like "with you" and she's like "no you're not!!" *hehe!*

Meanwhile Lecy and Jenn were like planning on what they were going to do...and Jenn was trying to end her frigging film..taking pics of the carpet and stuff...Jenn reloaded it and then "Tammy" came back and she's like "come with me girls"and she took us into the conference room...

NOW THE FUN STARTS.....
There were about maybe 30 ppl in this room which was kinda like a conference room that had like a bar (which was not in use) and there were NO FANS AT ALL in there!!! Just JENN & LECY!!! There was their EMI KRU and a few like 7 year olds running around. "Tammy" took us to this guy named humm um "Billy" and he was so NICE!! Lecy and Jenn didn’t have like signs and stuff with them and were not screaming or like going nuts at all so we think he respected us a whole lot more than if we were. "Tammy" explained our situation on how we wanted to meet the guys and he's like "Sure come with me!". So we went with him.

We walked over...Jenn was not looking where we were going b/c she was fiddling with her camera and stuff...and then she heard Lecy say "Hi!” Jenn looked up and DAVE Moffatt was standing right smack in front of her smiling at her!
Jenn: "OMG DAVE...HI!"
Dave: "HEY GUYS!! ....You guys are missing Christina, you came JUST to see Christina right?!"
Lecy: No, we came JUST to see you!!!
Jenn: "Ya!! that's ok!! We're not really here to see her...We'd rather be here with you!"
Dave: "AW!!!"
Jenn: "So Dave...Can we get a pic with you?"
Dave: "Of course" and he puts his arm around Jenn’s waist
(Jenn WAS SPAZZING OUT INSIDE!) then Jenn put her arm around him...he was SO THIN (OMG) so Jenn decided to tell him that!! *L* Jenn still doesn't know WHY she said this but.."
Jenn:"Dave...you are SO thin"
Dave: (Faces her..Dave and Jenn’s heads are like 5 inches apart and they are still holding on to each other) "I'm not THAT thin"
Jenn:"Well not THAT thin"
Dave: "Itz better then being fat"
Jenn: "YA that's true"
("Billy" says "Ok guys..pic time. " And so Dave and Jenn face the camera. Jenn puts her head beside his neck b/c he's Tall!)
"Billy":"Wow this is a great shot of you two!! NICE" Dave and Jenn looked at each other and they smiled and laughed (Jenn was like OMGOMG in her head). Then they posed and smiled for the camera and the pic was taken.

Next was Lecy's "turn with Dave"
They put their arms around each other and Lecy said "Dave you are TOO tall!" so he kinda crouched down (*ahem* making fun of her height) so he wouldn't be as tall. (A little closer to eye level) *lol* The pic is great because you can tell that they were laughing!

After Lecy got her pic with Dave he got out his pen to sign something for us.
Dave: "What do you want signed?"
Jenn: "Um...."
She looked at her clothes and stuff and she totally forgot she had a cd cover in her BAG! So Dave and Jenn were looking at Jenn thinking of what to get signed. *lol* (Dave was totally checking her out!) *L*
Dave: "Oh what about your shirt?"
Jenn: She put on this “you’ve gotta be joking face” and said "Dave...I paid a lot for this tank top...and if you sign it i won't be able to wash it!!"
Dave: "Oh ya I see!!!" and he laughs. We continue to see what he could sign....
Jenn: "Um I guess you could sign my arm?"
Dave:" Oh wait! your pass!"
DUH! Jenn had a kiss 92 pit pass (with a Christina pic on the pass.)

The pass was like on Jenn’s leg and Dave just stood there. Agh! Jenn lifted her leg up for him to sign it...and she was like falling over the place and everything. So *omg* Dave lifts up her leg so she could balance and Jenn had to hold on to his neck and shoulder to balance!!
*Jenn was like "omg Dave Moffatt is holding my frigging leg!* that would have been the BEST pic! And then he signed the pass after all that trouble! Then dave signed Lecy's but actually bent down to sign it!! GEEZ!! hehe! Jenn didn't mind tho! *smirk*

After the autographs this EMI lady comes over laughing and like lifts up her top for Dave to sign her chest and he's like "LARA!!!!!" and they hugged and stuff...hehe it was cute..they started chatting so Lecy and Jenn kinda moved off to the side of them.

Then "Billy" called Clint over and said "Clint I'd like you to meet these two young ladies" hehe! He came over (Lecy was like spazzing inside like “OMG OMG OMG OMG, you are sooo hot" *hehe*) and he shook our hands and Jenn introduced herself. Lecy has a problem with her hands (she has arthritis), so when he shook her hand, he hurt it, shes like “Um oww!” We each got pics taken with Clint. After the pics he was just kinda standing there looking at us with a look like "Um...are you going to say anything?" So Jenn didn't want him to walk away or anything thinking we were boring... (Ya know, Lecy said Jenn was *SO* HYPER!) but Jenn HAD to be!! *hehe!*)

So Jenn said to him Jenn: "Great show tonight Clint"
Clint:"AW thanx, I'm glad ya liked it"
Jenn:"I really liked the new stuff, I am really excited about the new cd!"
Clint: (I think he was in a mood like "I don't want to be here right now kinda mood"..but Jenn didn't care she just kept talking) "Cool.thanx"
Jenn: "So did you think of the new concept for the new video?"
Clint: "Ya we wrote it..."
Jenn:" The video or the song??"
Clint:"The video" (Jenn was thinking ..."HUH?" *L*)
Jenn: "Sorry if I am like so hyper...I am just really excited to be here right now...We haven't seen ya guys in a long time!" (that was so corny!! forgive me I was like in shock!!)
Clint:"It's ok" :)
Jenn: "Oh and ya..Clint...this is Lecy...she's a singer..she sings" (*lol* Jenn was so hyper she didn’t know what she was saying)
Clint: (Lecy looks up from playing with her camera) and Clint smiles and says "Cool"

"Billy" heard this and went and got his business card for Lecy to send him her demo!! YAY!! EMI guy with a demo!! *lol* When he came back he called Scott and Bob to came over. We each shook their hands and introduced ourselves.
Jenn asked Bob to get a pic with them and Scott snapped his fingers and called Clint and Dave over for a group shot. Lecy and Jenn were kinda standing over near Bob and Scott...and Dave and Clint were kinda a few feet away so Jenn went over and stood between Scott and *Dave* ..she *HAD* to be beside DAVE!!
*hehe!* "Lara" took Lecy's camera and took the pic for us and “Lara's” like "WOW this is a GREAT looking group".

After that "Billy's" like "Ok girls!" had fun?" Lecy and Jenn were like "YES it was great...Thanks SOOOOOOOO much" and he's like "No problem" and Jenn kinda gave him a hug and left with "Tammy".

It was one of the BEST nights of our lives & Lecy and Jenn just wanna thank everyone who made it possible for us to meet them! Ya'll rock! :)
