WEEKENDER

Shit Hot Warriors continued with the demo on Saturday and recorded some guitar and percussion. On Sunday, SHW made a return to Telford's Warehouse for their first gig since January. They played four songs:
A Real Live Chicken With Feathers, Happy Mouse, Diminished Song, and Warm Bathe. It was the first live performance of Diminished Song, and it went down like a whore (really well) with the audience. The songs were recorded and soon will be added to the studio tracks to make a Shit Hot Demo.

Finally, things seem to be coming together. Expect more gigs in the future.

SPRING HAS ARRIVED - SHW POST-WINTER ANTICS

Monkey-Boy was the first to stir from the Warriors' winter hibernation. At first he thought it was just a dream, but then a painful thumping in his head brought him to his senses. Still heavily hung-over he dragged himself to the kitchen for a banana and a cup of tea and then gazed out of the window at the spring sun by whose warm rays he had been awoken. He contacted the other Warriors and told them the news. They agreed that the dangers of winter were no longer and that it was safe to leave their sleeping quarters.

The Warriors met to discuss the next step in their mission. This was to be a recording session in Liverpool on 25th March 2000.

Well, the recording session almost never took place due to Spocky and Monkey-Boy having trouble crossing the River Mersey and then, after finally arriving in Liverpool, negotiating their way through a high-security labyrinth.

Fortunately, the actual recording session turned out to be pleasantly productive and stress-free thanks to Mason and The Dreaded Blonde Bombshell who engineered and produced the recordings.

Y2K COMPLIANT

The new year party was held at Spocky's house. Plans for an outdoor gig at the party were scrapped after fears that it may have attracted 'unsavoury characters'.

The party was attended by a rather large toxic tribe including  Lolly Bond, Dr. Eddie Doak, The Australian Jesus, Morgo The Gothic Priest Freak, Britney The Millenium Girl, Supergay and Robbie The Painted Lady. Hmm, what was that about unsavoury characters?

The whole event was filmed and may be part of a future video release. Perhaps as a Shit Hot Warriors video but judging by the material the videos contain it could be used in fetish films, in educational films showing the dangers of alcohol or for good old blackmail purposes.
On the 7th of January Shit Hot Warriors played a gig with Milk at O'Neills. The Warriors performed an untitled new song to the delight of loved ones and strangers alike.

Milk also put on a good show and this time Monkey-Boy and Musto were sober enough to remember the experience. Hopefully, Shit Hot Warriors and Milk will do more joint gigs in the future.

Shit Hot Warriors played in another showcase at Telfords Warehouse on the 16th January. Unfortunately they only had time for three songs: A Real Live Chicken With Feathers, Happy Mouse and Warm Bathe. They received many good comments from people who saw them and we were told they could come back in the near future.

SHIT HOT CHRISTMAS

The Shit Hot Warriors began their Christmas with a gig at O'Neills on the 20th of December. They had not rehearsed for two weeks as Monkey-Boy had been plagued with exams but the gig went well. Afterwards, they made their usual quick getaway leaving the audience shell-shocked but strangely satisfied.

On the 22nd Monkey-Boy, Musto and others embarked on a mission to see the mighty Milk. They planned their mission to allow for lots of drinking time before the gig so they were fairly 'boshed' by the time Milk hit the stage. They returned with few memories of the gig but with a definite sense of 'Mmm, baby. Milky ist gut!.'

Was it the 24th? Probably. Christmas party at local pub. Budgies Disco. Big Shit Hot Kru. Many pints consumed. Then: You are my fire, My one desire, You are the bollocks, I want it that way.Tell me why?... tell me why we became the Backstreet Boys! Strange but true (or sad but true).

EVENT / NON-EVENT

The Warriors are occupied by academic and vocational commitments at the present time and so, unfortunately, things are not progressing very fast.

Percussionist, Lolly, played as part of Liverpool Jazz-Funk octet,
Stingray, on Saturday (27.11.1999)  at Heebiejebees in Liverpool. The Shit Hot Warriors had been asked to play a small set during the halftime break but upon arriving at the venue they were told that their services were no longer required.Shit!?...

...Shit
Hot! The remaining three warriors gathered a kru together and returned to the Wirral where they chemically reduced their sorrows.

PEOPLE WILL BE TALKING

Liverpool Arts Centre is trying to obtain sponsorship for a music workshop to take place in the near future. Included in documentation supporting the sponsorship request is an article about the Shit Hot Warriors following our performance at the Arts Centre in October. The article can be read
here.

In the unlikely event that this web page is ever read by someone who can provide sponsorship then please contact SHW.

RECORDING DEMO

We are in the process of recording a demo at Zup Zup Studios in Wallasey. When it is complete we will hopefully be able to get more gigs. It is taking longer than was originally expected for the demo to get finished due to a frightening combination of work, laziness and intoxicants. Never mind, Parkgate hippies often lie dormant until something important happens. Producer, Zupro BFM, has been quite pissed off with us for not turning up to recording sessions. Sorry Zupro, back soon.
