Monkey Boy's Travels

I have been travelling round looking for useful or interesting things.

I visited snake charmers to give me instruction on playing the Snake Charmer instrument as our song 'Snake Charmer' is still missing a lead part. They were very patient with me but I kept running away to climb nearby trees. Eventually they decided that I was not ready to learn such an instrument.

I was scared of the snakes anyway.

I left the snake charmers and headed North until I came to a wall blocking my route onwards. I was wondering what to do when a travelling monk crossed my path. Anyone familiar with the beliefs of monkey-men will know that this may or may not be a sign of good or bad luck. I was quite concerned and approached the monk. I asked him if he could share any wisdom with me to help me on my journey. He whispered that it may be useful to go East or West where a man named G'voo Sen lived. I thanked the monk for his advice  and, as he was quite scary, I decided to go West in the opposite direction to him.

You can guess what happened. After walking for what seemed like a long long time, meeting only women, children and sand animals, I saw a sign post directing me to 'Headman G'voo's Residence'. I ran and tumbled excitedly towards my destination.

I knocked on the door and G'voo answered. He seemed very cheery and, when I requested a banana or two for refreshment, he said he was happy to give me as many as I could eat.

His home was a small cosy house with a good supply of bananas and plenty of trees outside.

That evening we talked and talked until we were too tired to talk any longer. In my dreams there fluttered some words G'voo had said to me about monkeys and men being similar in many ways.
