| During my year down in Florida, my whole goal was to eat at every country in the world showcase, or at least finish all of the world showcase. I had only eaten at two restaurants previous to my visit; France and Morocco, and at the time, I was only planning on staying till May, which was my original planned departure time. So, I wanted to think of something that probably wasn't going to happen because of a financial problem or time problem. Of course! Finish all 11 of the country's restaurants. I ate at two more restaurants; Japan and China. Hey, I am on a role. Soon, my schedule picked up and I just didn't have the time to go or a friend would not have time to come with me etc. So, after awhile, the idea became forgotten. Before I was about to leave, I went to an interview that was about a role hopper positions that deals with a cast member moving between two roles. It seemed like a fun job to do and I wouldn't be stuck at the same job all the time and it was a great learning experience for me. I got the role and was subjecting myself to 7 more months of Disney. YES! So, after getting situated etc, I brought up my goal to myself again. This is the perfect opportunity to do this. I am getting more money, more hours and a lot more frinds. Soon, I was eating at a lot of the restaurants. My parents came to visit and took me to Canada. I went to Norway with my brother and a friend. Soon, I was eating at all of the restaurants. The only ones I didn't eat at were Italy, Germany, Mexico, and The UK. Well, I was invited to go to Italy, so I got that one down, just 3 more to go. Soon, I was working too much and TRYING to save my money, but christmas came up and I was planning to visit a friend of mine and expenses were just getting too bad. Soon, I just gave up on the idea and left it at that. A couple of weeks before my program ended, I went to dinner with a friend of mine and we went to Germany. My parents were coming to get me and my brother to take us home so they were taking us to the UK, Rose and Crown Pub. That left me with just getting to Mexico. With only 2 days left, I was getting desperate. I asked around, but it was all the same, sorry, busy. So, my brother wasn't doing anything and we were off to the San Angel Restorante. It wasn't that great, but I was on a mission! Then, my day to leave came and it was sad, but all I could really think about was the restaurants. I was very proud of myself and ate at the UK with a lot of pride. I even at the Millenium Village cafeteria.My goal, though small was completed, which tells me that I can accomplish anything if I can put my mind to it. Here is a website that links you to the World Showcase and if you would like my favorite restaurant, it would have to be Japan. I love the quick service place and it's fairly cheap! Bon Apetite! |
