The Only Thing That's Worth the Sweat

Nipple-baring photos of Aerosmith's Joe Perry and Steven Tyler
have been rejected by Seventeen for its April issue, and the rockers
don't like it. In a statement, the band accused the magazine's editors of
"outright puritanical myopia." Said Tyler: "It's not like we're encouraging teens
to shoot each other." However, Shem Law, Seventeen's art director, countered:
"Their skin had gone purple and blue. They looked like a couple of very
unattractive old men, which is basically what they are." - Philadelphia Inquirer, 4/3/94
