From the Dallas Morning News, January 15th, 1998 Empire Disc Escapes From Zoo by Teresa Gubbins, Staff Writer Mark your calendars, this date's been a long time coming and now it's finally here: On Tuesday, Telepathic Last Words, the new disc from Dallas band Course of Empire, hits the streets. Produced by Jon Fryer (Nine Inch Nails), this is the disc that was recorded in '96 for Zoo Records, then slipped through the cracks when Zoo collapsed. The band subsequently made a love match with TVT Records, recorded a couple of new songs and is back on track. "TVT has been a far cry from the days of Zoo," says drummer/co-producer Chad Lovell. "Everybody you talk to there is somebody you'd be friends with anyway." The festivities begin in Dallas, with a two-night appearance at the Curtain Club, 2800 Main St., on Jan. 23 and 24.
