I started reading The Sandman by accident really. I picked up one of the books just because I liked the cover. Funny huh? I had never heard of The Sandman before and was never really interested in comics, but was trying to check some of them out for the art that I have always thought was intruiging. Well I read it and was amazed. I started buying all the graphic novels (easier than trying to locate the comics and much cheaper too) and just read and read and read. I have all the Death individual comics also, but since I don't have the graphic novel --there is no afterward by Tori Amos. So, basically I'm still clueless on this obscure relationship. Well I start looking through the comics and lo and behold I see lyrics to Crucify! I thought wow, what a coinky dink (sp?). I was still pretty darn clueless until a few years ago and I was listening to LE and thought wait a minute. Did she say "me and neil'll be hangin' out with the DREAM KING Neil says hi by the way?" Neil? Neil Gaiman? Wow! They must know each other! So there you go, my slow but funny connection to both of them. I had no idea! I was so glad that two of my very favorite people were very good friends. What a nice world this is!
