Torture
I endure the pain
With strength unknown to me
As he tortures my soul.
But,
As one solitary tear
Steals its way down my face
In my anguish,
He taunts me more,
Tearing me apart,
Until there is not one inch
On my body
Where pain doesn't throb
And agony doesn't seer through me.
As I struggle to hold on,
My weakening heart gives up
And I collapse.
My heart,
Soul,
And body
Hang limply in his arms
Dead.
