Alanis was caught stealin because they see that her hands were in her pockets and assume that she hid something stolen in there. And no one would have guess Morrissey would have stolen anything because his hands were in the glove and nothing could be hideen there.
Alanis had a tune called "I GOT MY HANDS IN MY POCKET" on the Jagged little pills album

Morrissey had a tune called "HANDS IN GLOVE" in one of the Smiths Ablum.

"Driving Your Girlfriend Home" was a tuned on the Morrissey (Kill Uncle Album)

And "Girlfriend in a Coma" was a tuned on one of the Smith Album.

"Boy racer" was a tune on the Morrissey's Album Southpaw Grammar.

And "The Boy With the Thorn on his side was a Smith's song.
