What is love?

Love is one word.
A word that causes little kids to question what it is.
A word that causes adults to fumble out an answer.

Is love a feeling?
If so what does if feel like?
Is it the butterflies in your stomach when that special person enters the room?

Is love the feeling you get when you dance with that special someone?
Is love the anticipation of the goodnight kiss after the first date?
Or is it the feeling that you get when you hear a poem from their heart?

Is love the feeling after you had sex?
Or is it how you can sit content with just that person's company?
Or is it how when a couple in love enters the room happiness seems to glow off them?

Is love when you look into their eyes and they seem like endless pools?
When by looking at each other they can tell what the other is thinking.
That their eyes sparkle when their partner's name is mentioned.

Is love when you can talk freely to someone?
You can tell them how you feel without lying.
You can talk to them about anything without feeling uncomfortable.

Is love a word that no one can define?
Is it a word with infinite definitions?
With everyone having their own?

Is their anyone who can tell me what love is?
Just explain what it is, how it feels.
Is it something I will experience?

Am I right when I say love is wonderful?
Am I right to say it doesn't come without risks?
Am I right to say that it is hard to achieve?

Love is the word that has me asking questions.
Love is the word that causes adults to fumble over and answer.
Love is the word that no one seems to know how to explain.
