Betrayal is something that happens quite often
The feeling of betrayal is caused by someone close
Perhaps that person is a friend or family member

There are many kinds of betrayal
One example is the betrayal of trust
The worst kind is the betrayal caused by a friend.

A friend is supposed to be someone you trust
When a friend betrays you they break the unspoken promise
The promise to stand by you through everything

The feeling of betrayal is the worst
You wonder what you did to make them do it
You wonder how you could have misplaced your trust

The feeling of betrayal is the worse than a heart break
You know the risks when you put your heart on the line
The risks of friendship were something unknown to me

I trusted my friends to stand by me
A problem arose and I looked to my friends to stand by me
When I looked there was no one.

I get ridiculed in front of my friends
They are supposed to stick up for you right?
Wrong, my "friends" joined in the ridicule

They rejected me
I don't know why
Maybe it's 'cause I'm different

I've learned some of the lessons of life
I learned them at a young age
Depend only on yourself

When things get tough
You learn who your true friends are
Your true friends are the ones who stand by you

The feeling of betrayal is the worst feeling
Most people in the world have to experience it
I hope you don't have to at a young age, like I did.
