Moonwalker
AMG REVIEW: For those wanting to immerse themselves in Jackson's bizarre fantasy world, Moonwalker might just do the trick. This 94-minute collection of conceptual videos portrays Jackson as the misunderstood (relentlessly pursued) star who's really a down-to-earth guy who loves kids. In fact, Jackson cares about them so much that in "Smooth Criminal" (Moonwalker's centerpiece), he becomes a Terminator-style superhero and blows up the evil Mr. Big, who is intent on hooking kids on drugs. Jackson's montage of his evolution from Jackson 5 to solo artist is nice. "Leave Me Alone" is in parts a playful depiction of Jackson as a tortured media icon, which would be an absolute whine-fest if it weren't for the dazzling effects.
