use maxell tapes/CDs whenever possible. type II for audio, gold/silver for video, please (if you're a broke college student, "bronze" is okay, too). TDK, sony are okay, too.
i can only tape in ntsc video format (for now) and that's all i'd like to get, please
no DOLBY or high-speed dubbing.
In most cases, I like to do 1:1 trades. Even Steven.
Fast-forward through both sides of audio cassettes before recording onto them. This makes for better recordings and sound quality.
Don't cut anything. If it's a t.v. program or special (120 minutes, etc.) include the videos and commercials. if it's a bootleg tape and the side ends before the song does, start the song over on the other side. the same applies to similar situations.
include setlists.
i like to send cases. if you don't, fine, we'll talk about it. if you are trading me audios for videos, Send Cases. please. my tapes look rather lonesome sitting around...without cases.
Unless a concert has (CD) after it, I only have it on audio cassette. If you'd like it on CD, fine, but it'll take a bit longer. Don't expect the trade to be zippyquick.
I'd hate to think that anybody out there would enjoy not holding up their end of a deal, but if they do they get their own spot on my Naughty List
If you have any problems with any of the rules, email me.
