Here is a great trio that sings sweet, soft and tender songs.
A nice working together of three extraordinary girls with extraordinary voices.
Two songs of their first album "Wilson Phillips" were 'Smash Hit Singles'.
'Hold On' and 'Release Me' show good examples of the great unity
that surround this group... 'Impulsive', 'Next to you (Someday I'll Be)' or
'The Dream Is Still Alive' are just another three examples of the big quality
of their songs.
Their second album "Shadows and Light" shows that this three girls are not
'one hit' artists. The quality 'Is Still Alive'.
Well unfortunately in my last Germany trip, were I usually bought their cds, I had the impression this
wonderful trio has split.
You might have heared this name quite often this last 6 month (at least).
A young and very talented songwriter with a powerfully voice and a lot of guts...
Well, I do not think that each one of you would have her courage to sing songs like 'You oghta Know'
or write such an 'stupid truelly' song like 'Ironic'.
With her first album "Jagged little Pill" she turned into an selling phenomena.
But there is a question I'm asking myself... where is Alanis?? Will we have a new album of her released soon??

One big success of the new age music is Enya.
A great composer, singer and instrument player.
A very talented lady. At the last 'page' of the little book you find in her cd
you can see that I'm not lying or I'm wrong. It's written there:
"All instruments and voices by Enya". (Gee I thought, well I still I think...)
"The Memory of the Trees" is a soft and gentle bit of an 'spiritual' artist.
Songs like 'On My Way Home' , 'China Roses', 'The Memory of the Trees' and
'Anywhere is' show what science proved: the most relaxing songs on earth. For X-Mas Enya too released a new album. If I recall well, the name was "The Best of Enya". It is a sampler of the old successes of Enya like 'Orinocco Flow' and "On my Way Home" among others. Previously unreleased songs of Enya add enovation to this new album. I did not have a try of it but I'm absolutely sure that another high quality cd has just been released and that it is another MUST in everyones Enya collection.
Maybe for someone who doesn't know Enya very well, this is the best way to start appreciating her great job!

This wonderful singer, actress was unknown to me till last October. After watching her in a great Andrew Lloyd Webber musical 'Sunset Blvd' I was enchanted. A strong, powerful voice makes it almost impossible to turn the
cd player off. A lovely duet with Barbara Dickson in 'I Know Him So Well'
(from the musical "Chess").
I read that Mrs. Paige recorded already 14(!) LPs...
