NEUROSIS - Enemy of the Sun 1994 (Alternative Tentacles)
Capitalizing on the tribal/spiritual aspect introduced on Souls At Zero, Enemy
of the Sun delves deeper into the endtime warnings and multiple moods that
NEUROSIS color their paranoic landscape with. Originally intended as an EP, the
band's creativity sparked in the studio, resulting in extended percussive jams
showcased in the 8 minute "Cleanse" and a fourth full-length of in my opinion, their strongest
material up to this point. This is a probaly THE album to start out your voyage into the
apocalyptic sounds of the most creative and innovative band since Pink Floyd
