priotities?

Okay, the other night, it was like... 4am i think, and i was flipping through the channels, and then this thing about light pollution came on. I was thinking to myself, "Light pollution? What the hell is this crap?" so i watched like a little 15 minute program on it. Well heres what light pollution is.

Light pollution is excess light from cities and stuff that lights up the night sky making it harder for astronomers to see things in space. Okay sure, it sounds like a problem, but not that big of a deal. Who cares about a bunch of stars anyways? But it gets worse. The light doesn't prevent the scientists from seeing anything really, they were complaining about how they were unable to see "very faint stars". But not only that... there are "at the edge of the universe". Who cares about starts at the edge of the universe!? There are also organizations against light pollution, I think they said it was an international organization with 3000 members. But really, these people need to get their priorities straight.

"Light pollution is a serious problem that must be solved right away!" My ass. How about something important? Like the thousands of people that die everyday from malnutrition? Or AIDS or something like that. People need to focus on these things, not some dumbass in seattle who left the light in his apartment on all night. This sure as hell isnt what i would call a "serious problem in the world". If the astronomers want to get rid of this light pollution, the can go to somewhere remote or away from civilization. Don't go on tv and bitch about such a stupid problem. fucking scientists can go shove it up their collective asses.
