This page answer many of the questions I get from the general
user. Other questions specific to using ChordPro are addressed on the Using
ChordPro FAQ page. You may have a question, too; if so, please feel free to e-mail me,
or post in my guestbook by clicking on the link above.
Is it illegal for anyone to create, trade or own lyrics files?
Hell, I dont know. I ask ten lawyers, I get maybe four different answers, and
if I probe further, I get fifteen possible strategies of defense if I am sued. My policy
is: I aint sellin it, Im giving it away. You can sue me for all the
proceeds that I am making for this site. If you can find me.
Where did you get these files?
Some I wrote, and some I found. LEOs OLGA page, although a static site that
hasnt had a lot of contributors lately, is one of my favorites for just the lyrics.
There are also Usenet groups that have this stuff. Do a search for lyrics on
any search engine; youll find a bunch of pages and newsgroups that do this.
Do you have any, like, more modern stuff, yknow, dude, like, from this
century?
Um, well... not a lot. Hmm... I have a Til Tuesday song... that modern enough for
you?
Not really.
Well, thanks for stopping by.
Do you not like modern music?
Well, if by modern you mean the stuff that has come out between a month ago and
last Wednesday, I honestly cant tell you because I just dont listen to the
radio; I dont have time and probably never will. Most broadcast media has sucked
since MTV hit the cable TV line-up. I finally finished trying to figure out that major 9th
chord in the middle eight of Company by Rickie Lee Jones (Rickie Lee
Jones, Warner Brothers 1978).
Where do you get off?
52nd and Avenue G.
No, seriously, some of these chords/lyrics are totally wrong. Dont you even
proofread this stuff?
No. But you can by just downloading the files, and trying to play / sing the song.
And if you find any wrong chords / lyrics then e-mail
me. Ill probably change it and upload it to the website for free.
