Tiger and Dragon

The distance between them is great,
and the barriers they must overcome stand tall,
But yet they move together as one,
joned in mind, body and soul.
Whilst they sit, enveloved in the soft, velvety blackness of the night,
together in spirit.
Gazing up at the beautiful sky,
The dragon wishes upon a shooting star,
that the shattered dreams they share
can be pieced together once more.
And as the gap between them grows smaller
the tiger places her heart in the dragons hands of the dragon
and watches as he gently places it by his own
surrounded by a ring of fire underneath his feet
there they will reamain safely together
untill the bright orange of the flames
slowly turns to the blood red burning embers.
Their love will be lost once again.
