Michael Bigger's syllabus, according to him, and only him, says that after three misses, you're out. Mike withdrew me from his class after I missed two sessions. I don't think this makes me a bad student, even if I were to miss three.
After re-reading his syllabus, I realized that it does not mention the "three strikes, you're out" rule. Nevertheless, after missing only two classes, I was involuntarily withdrawn from his class. Now, if I don't get a sculpture lab fee back, I'm going to wonder just where this money is being squandered to because, the fact is, MR. Bigger was not offering any materials to his students while I was in attendance.
I don't want to get back into his class, for we've already stated that we dislike each other in a student-teacher relationship, and I'm not going to pay a $25 fee for a withdraw I didn't authorize. He didn't give time to find materials during class and he didn't give directions to places where we could gather such supplies. He doesn't teach to visual learners and he needs better organization of his thoughts, so they can be presented effectively.
I request that the sculpture lab fee be refunded to me, and the $25.00 withdraw fee be waved, since the withdraw was involuntary.
