Ring Out Defect

I was fighting Hoar in Bespin Cloud City as Luke I believe. Somehow I ended up being hit out of the ring. Hoar seemed to jump after me, but was standing on the edge when the game said "Ring out, You lose." I had the game set for two rounds, and when the next round started, Hoar didn't appear and I won without fighting!!!

Winner's Sequence


If you do not change the options before winning the game twice as the same character, the winner's "celebration" will be shortened. In most cases, there is an animated sequence that will not be shown. In some cases there is a picture of the character and written congratulations that will not be shown the second time thru.

Programming

Arden Lyn Power Bar

When fighting against Arden Lyn, notice that her Force Bar can charge from nothing to full power with a single kick. That's quite unfair if the computer decides to use her full powered moves.

View Changes


When I got Vader down on the ground and pressed the D-Pad away for defence, the screen view changed and I was no longer moving away from Darth Vader. I was moving towards him! That made myself vulnerable to attack. When you do certain moves with characters, the view will change and does not correct for forward and backing movement.

Ground Maneuvers


If a character has to roll on the ground, it seems the character rolls the wrong direction... it takes some getting used to. More logical buttons could've been used.
Kicking

When kicking an opponent from behind, the opponent will fly towards you instead of away from your character, sometimes.

Blaster Fire


After firing off a shot from my blaster, the opponent was jumping. As the player fell back toward the ground, so did the blast. This happened on more than one occasion... though I have yet to see it happen when fighting against the computer.

Pause/Return to Game


When pausing the game after a winner has been determined, the game cannot be resumed by pressing the START button. The screen wil simply flicker if you hit the START button. You must press "X" when "Return to Game" is lit in order to resume play... or hit Abort Game and "No."

Victory Quote


While fighting, the characters may say one of their two lines. This shouldn't happen until the opponent is on the ground. It seems funny when Arden Lyn says, "You're a pittiful fighter" and the opponent needs to be hit four more times before it's all over.

Draw Game

I was very disappointed to find that in a draw game there is no rematch.

Advertising Problem?

Hidden Level

Before this game came out, I read a review that said there was a hidden level besides the basic nine. I have yet to see that level. I don't think it exists. Perhaps they got the facts wrong in talking about the Level Select after you beat Arcade Mode with Chewy?
