The Legend of The Steves

And So It Began . . .

In the year of Our Lord 1997 it was that Steven Courtney (the President of Happiness), having achieved a level of renown by singing his songs of joy and goodwill to the younger population of the tri-state area (and beyond), sought to reach a lost generation for the Great King. Not wishing to take on this quest alone, he called on his friend and compatriot Steve Bennett (Courtney jester), to work with him so that they might encourage each other in this endeavor.

Together they travelled far and yon, and farther and yonner, picking up along the way fellow travellers who wished to share in the quest. Jeff (the Piano Prince) and Hank (the Duke of the Drum) joined Steven and Steve (thereafter known as The Steves) to serve in spreading the message of the Great King. And as they travelled they sang songs of good news, songs of rejoicing, songs of longing, songs of searching, and songs of joy. They sang at festivals, in the marketplace, and in the temples of the King. They sang, they danced, they laughed and they told stories, hoping to draw those listening nearer to the King that they so gladly served.

Occasionally, they stopped their journeys to make permanent record(s) of the songs that they sang, which they dispensed to those who wished to take the message with them and listen to these troubadours in the privacy of their domiciles. These songs were determined by many to have a Radio Vibe that caused the hearers to be moved, sometimes physically, sometimes emotionally or spritually. They also combined with other like-minded troubadours, such as Sir Phredd of WJTL, Eric The Beginner and many more, to create discs which sought to further the cause of the kingdom.

And so Steven and Steve travel on with their good friends Jeff and Hank, for the quest in which they partake must continue, ending not in this world . . . but the next.

And So the Journey Continues . . .
