Shana Elmsford

Shana Elmsford was the second foster girl given a home by Jacqui and Emmet Benton. She was shy and quiet and kept to herself. Befriended first by Jerrica, Shana's shell began to crack and as she grew into a teenager, she became agorgeous and talented butterfly. As she blossomed, so did her friendship with Jerrica and another young foster girl, Aja. The three became close and after the birth of Jerrica's younger sister, Kimber, the three big sisters of the group.
The drumming talents of the young girl secured her a place in the Holograms, the band formed after the death of Emmet Benton. As the band's popularity grew, Shana's other talent as a fashion designer grew, as well. The group sported Shana's fashions and gave them the media attention that attracted mega-stars, among them, actress, Liz Stratton.
At Liz's behest, Shana left the Holograms to pursue her career as Ms. Stratton's personal designer. Things, however, did not work out between Shana and the egotistical Ms. Stratton and Shana quit the project to return to her friends and career among the Holograms.
Returning to the Holograms, Shana found that her former position as drummer had been filled by newcomer, Raya. At first, Shana felt hurt but immediately uponi being told she could return to the group, saw this as an opportunity to return to her first love, the guitar. She did so and is back as the creative genuis that provides the fashions sported by JEM and the sizzling chords of the HOLOGRAMS.
