There'll be a Riot over us!

Descended from a Welsh background (a coalmining grandfather), Riot was born to a career army father and a loving mother that was supporting of his love for music. While she was trying to teach him music, his father was determined to "make a man" of him.
When Rory reached the age of 18, he joined the army at his father's behest. He was stationed in Germany. While there, he saw a local band called Nirvana.
He followed them to club after club when his army stationing allowed. One night, a blow-up between Nirvana's lead singer and their lead guitarist led to the guitarist leaving. Rory volunteered to fill-in and it was that first time with Nirvana that RIOT was born. Rory left the army and joined the group. He toured with them all around the area. On a club date, Nirvana came back to Germany, where he was arrested by the Military Police. He was given a dishonorable discharge and returned to the United States. A releived mother and a disappointed father met him. He took odd jobs and eventually worked his way back to Germany and Nirvana. Upon returning, he was immediately at odds with the lead singer, Jerry and when the disagreement escalated, Riot left Nirvana to form his own band. He took Minx, the keyboardist for Nirvana with him and the two of them formed the Stingers. On the outside, Riot is "arrogant and aloof" and has a harshness to him that many mistake for callousness. Inside, however, he is very caring and considerate.
But, it was his vision and belief in himself that turned the Stingers into the mega-stars they are and himself into the success he can claim to be, today. Thanks to intervention by JEM on his behalf, his relationship with his father is on the mend.
