David Mercado
This is my son.
Is he adorable or what?
My son David Mercado is now over two years old. The first picture was taken when he was about a year and a half. This picture is one of the most recent pictures I have of my little one. I am finally getting to see him on a regular basis and we are both enjoying every minute that we are together. To my surpise(well not really) he is very intelligent, more so, I believe, than any average child his age. At times I think of him as a little adult because of some of the things that he does to impress me. He still isn't really speaking yet, but he does say a few things, none of which are anything bad. And of course, as with any child his age, he knows how to say "ball." For some reason or another they all learn that word pretty easily.
Now David and I are spending alot of time together and we are begining to bond like only a father and son can. I didn't quite know how my son would take to my girlfriend, Ana, but he has really taken aliking to her as well. That makes me even happier, as Ana will be a big part of both our lives. I am saddened, at times, when I have to take hime back to his mother at the begining of every other week. I only get to see him for, what seems to me, a very short time, but the time I spend with him is very special and very important to me.
As you can see, from the some of the photos, David can sometimes pose for the camera. We recently got a camcorder and are getting some good footage of our little one.Everytime I bring it out he does something comical or he'll say something like "cheese." He is a very curious boy, but what child isn't? He likes to be outside and loves to explore the terrain.
When I would first see him, he was very shy and kept mostly to himself and kept close by my side. In away he still does. If he sees me go out the door he is quick to follow and call out to me to take him with me no matter where it is I'm going. But that has changed somewhat. Now if I leave he no longer cries or gets scared because he knows who it is he is going to be with, Ana. My son has taken aliking to her that I didn't think he would. Sometimes I think that he cares more for her than he does for either myself of his mother. David loves Ana a great deal, as do I. I know he loves me very much aswell, and I love him even more. Aside for GOD, he is the most important thing in my life.
