My Inspirations, Beliefs, and Rules of Life... |

Many of these quotes are taken from the Book of Counted Sorrows, you'll also find them in the beginning of the chapters of books written by Dean Koontz. |

On the Road that I had taken, one day, walking, I awaken, amazed to see where I have come, where I am going, where I am from.
This is not the path I thought. This is not the place I sought. This is not the dream I bought, just a fever of fate I've caught.
I'll change the highways in a while at the crosswords, one more mile. My path is lit by my own fire. I'm going only where I desire.
On the road that I have taken, one day, walking, I awaken. One day, walking, I awaken, on the road that I have taken.

In the real world, as in dreams, nothing is quite as it seems. |

Faraway in China, the people sometimes say, life is often bitter and all too seldom gay. Bitter as dragon tears, great cascades of sorrows flood down all the years, drowning our tomorrows. Faraway in China, the people also say, life is sometimes joyous if all too often gray, Although life is seasoned with bitter dragon tears, seasoning is just a spice within our brew of years. Bad times are only rice, tears are one more flavor, that gives us sustenance, something we can savor. |

BE YOURSELF The world would like to change you; There are pressures all around. You must decide just who you are, Then firmly hold your ground.
You have an image of yourself, An ideal sense of you; And to this vision you must always Struggle to be true.
You know what you are good at. And you know where talents lie; But if you're ruled by others, Yor uniqueness could pass by.
Remember, there is much to learn; But all new things aren't good. Wisdom lies in what you've learned And what you have withstood.
So be yourselfand don't allow The world to take control, Preserving your identity Is life's most precious goal. - Bruce B. Wilmer |

To see what we have never seen, to be what we have never been. To shed the chrysalis and fly, depart the earth, kiss the sky. To be reborn be someone new, is this a dream or is it true?
Can our future be cleanly shorn, from a life to which we're born? Is each of us a creature free- or trapped at birth by destiny? Pity those who believe the later. Without freedom, nothing matters.

My Chosen Path Today I walked down an old country road...alone stopping only long enough to pick up a pebble or two tossing them across the dirt road up ahead. The air is cool and finally the heat of the summer days seem to be leaving... I feel the cool crisp fall breezes blowing gently through my hair... bringing me pleasure. Taking a deep breath I walk on...asking myself Why I have traveled this path in my life It's not what I thought or hoped or even prayed for What is my purpose here...why did I make these choices What am I supposed to do with my life Feeling sad and alone... unsure of myself still wishing with all my heart things had turned out differently... I sigh and walk a little further I see an opening in the trees... Do I dare venture to see what's there Will I be safe... or is this the wrong path again I turn and walk over to the opening and peeked through There in the distance is glorious orange and yellow meadow Instantly I felt peace and I find myself walking towards it I fill my lungs with the pure clear air as I dance along with the shadows in this most tranquil place As the sun starts to hang low.. I can see His face He is smiling at me... He knows why I chose these paths Taking my hands into his we walk together for a while Whispering softly he said to me... "You did what you had to do... don't look back The past is the past... focus on what gifts you have now Listen to your heart... many lessons it has learned Many lessons of your life you now can share... Remember your heart will never do you wrong At last.. you are on the right track" |

~The Road Not Taken~
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that, the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. -Robert Frost |
