Minor Threat - Discography - Released 1989

Minor Threat is one of the most talented and influential bands to come out of the Straight Edge Punk Rawk scene. Their music is the sound of juvenile, rebellious youth. It is the pulse of the kids at the punk shows, pressed up against the stage, trying to reconcile their oppressive parental figures with the lures of the punk pied pipers. Every one of their songs is something that's gone through the minds of every teenager. Their are lost friends, harsh truths, frustrated challenges, nostalgia and of course angry outbursts. When you listen to this CD, you can hear the rage or the pain (as the case may be) in Ian McKay's voice. Although the technical skills of the band aren't that great, they did a good job with what they knew and manage to give Ian a strong punk sound to back him up. All in all, if you're into punk rawk and yer looking for a CD with some good, fast, angry punk then check this out. Or check it out if you wanna try and remember how it feels to be 17 and misunderstood. Or just buy it if yer into dead guys who can still get it up.
