Special projects and accomplishments
- Designed and edited "NFL Monday" expanded coverage section each fall. Emphasis on area pro football teams.
- Designed three-day, front-page project on the impact of a new
immigration law, the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant
Responsibility Act, April 1998.
- Received in-house award for headline "Wawa has last laugh in
HAHA brouhaha." Headline topped story detailing name copyright lawsuit.
Headline nominated for 1997 Keystone Awards, Pennsylvania Newspaper
Publishers Association.
- Received in-house award for headline "Q: Got milk? A: Got money?"
- Received in-house award for headline "Thoughts on his Penneys."
Headline topped interview of J.C. Penney Co. president.
- Produced and edited Weekly Record sister paper, February 1997,
February 1996.
- Designed two-day, front-page package of art, graphics and stories
that analyzed the impact of the North American Free Trade Agreement
on Monterrey, Mexico, a city with business links to York County,
winter 1993.

Designed local section fronts and front page, edited local and wire
copy, wrote headlines. Coordinated reporting and composing staffs
as assistant night editor. Sized photos on Macintosh computer.

headlines. Covered Manassas and Manassas Park city councils, school
boards and planning commissions. Wrote on growth and development

- Covered Capitol Hill hearings on government purchase of land slated for development of a shopping mall at Manassas
National Battlefield Park, Northern Virginia, fall 1988.

- Reported on Eastern Shore drought through bus trip
organized by office of then-U.S. Rep. Roy Dyson, D-1st, and federal
