I filled every hour of this day with happiness.  I got up early and got to the ski resort in time to be one of the first on the lifts.  When we got to the top I took a green run to warm up. Its my favorite.  3 Mile Run it's called.  Really it's just a road.  But it goes forever and through the lovely trees and has a wonderful view.  It snowed all day yesterday.  The powder was sparkling in the sun.  I started down the trail in a hurry to be the first to make her mark.  No one followed.  I was a lone woman in  this wintery Eden.  The world was silent.  All I could hear was the quiet swish of my skis through the untouched snow and my occasional giggle when sometimes the  powder piled up to my knees.  It was heaven.  I was  happy to live in such a beautiful place.  I was so glad to realize just how much I do have.  As I swished my way down, I tried to decide if this was as exquisite as scuba diving in Hawaii.  Up until now I hadn't found anything to top my dive with the sea turtle.  She was a bit of serendipity that I needed at that time two years ago.  I determined that today was a very close second to that moment  One was under the sea and this one was on the mountain tops.  I couldn't help but feel how blessed I am.

I finished the day with a wonderful supper at a canyon restaurant over looking a snowy creek.  I came home and slipped into a hot tub to relaxed with a novel.  Then I slipped on my nightie and sat myself down to write this.  This was a perfect day.
