Clip from the movie • Warner Brothers obtained the rights to the distribution Pokémon Movie.
• It will open in theaters throughout North America on November 12.

Facts:
• "Pokémon The Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back" was produced in Japan by Shogakukan Productions Co., Ltd. When the film was released there last summer, it became the fourth-highest grossing film in Japan for 1998.

(What www.pokemon.com said):
• "Pokémon The Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back" is an epic adventure featuring the debut of new, bio-engineered "Super-Pokémon," whose powers rival those of the existing creatures, creating exciting new plot twists and turns. The new Pokémon appears in this film for the first time in any format; it cannot yet be seen on television or in any video game. For the upcoming release of the film, the producers are adding a new musical score.

Satoshił's Thoughts:
First of all, I'd like to say that Mewtwo and Mew HAVE been seen on FILM and VIDEO GAMES. At the beginning of the Pokémon animated series, you can see Mewtwo fly across the world, followed by Mew. Secondly, with a little know-how, you can get Mew (Assuming that's the new Pokémon of which they speak) in the Pokémon game. Frankly, I think Warner Brothers and www.pokemon.com should get their facts straight. Secondly, I'll have to see the movie to believe it. I mean, they're changing the musical score and dubbing it over? I smell another cheap, cut-up, Americanized version of something that used to be popular and great.

The release of the Yellow Version

Dates:
The long-await "Yellow Version" of Pokémon is going to be released in late October. This game follows the original Pokémon series exactly, including Pikachu following you around.

Satoshił's Thoughts:
This is sad... Very sad. The fact that American companies haven't even taken the time to dub MORE episodes, so the American children actually KNOW what's going to happen in the series, will make this game a complete waste of time. Of course kids will buy it, but what's the point? Maybe to know what the hell people are talking about in the movie... Maybe to get a sneak peek at the bits of the series we're not privileged enough to see... But seriously, people, why on Earth would you release something that makes sense when you have the whole story (For those of us in Japan), but will be totally misleading to others who have been deprived?? (This seems very reminiscent of the release of "Sailor Chibi-Moon" and about three "Moon Scepters" during the Sailor Moon craze.)
