Home Sweet Home
By Kristjan Brezovnik
Sara and Daisy were just going home from the Bronze, when Sara spotted two bodies, lying in a dark alley.
"Look, there's someone lying there," Sara said and pointed at the bodies.
"You think they're still alive?" Daisy asked, not really looking forward to investigating.
"I don't know. Let's find out."
Daisy took a deep breath.
"Let's hope there are no vampires around."
"Oh yeah, I forgot about them," Sara said, looking around.
They slowly approached the two bodies, constantly looking around to make sure it wasn't a trap.
"Shit," Daisy said when she recognized the two bodies.
"The competition," Sara said and Daisy giggled. "Are they still alive?"
Daisy kneeled and checked their pulse.
"Yes. I think they're stoned."
Sara shook her head, sighing.
"This is so sad."
"Yeah," Daisy agreed. "Let's get them home."
"You serious?" Sara asked, surprised.
"We can't leave them here."
Sara thought for a moment.
"My parents are home."
"Mine come at eleven. We can get them to bed and then I'll tell them about them and ask if I can stay home tomorrow."
Sara thought about it.
"Okay. Let's pick them up."
They each picked up a girl.
"They're heavy," Daisy groaned.
"Yeah."
"Hey, guys," Jasmine greeted them as she and Faith noticed them. She grinned when she saw who they were carrying. "Was it so intense they passed out?"
Sara and Daisy smiled for a moment.
"They're stoned," Sara said.
"Yeah?" Faith asked, her face serious.
"Yes. We're taking them to Daisy." She shrugged. "Maybe we can help them."
Faith and Jasmine glanced at one another, impressed.
"Need a hand?"
"Yes please," Daisy quickly said and everyone laughed.
Faith helped Daisy and Jasmine helped Sara.
"Let us know what happens," Faith said when the two stoned girls were lying in bed between two clean sheets.
"We will," Daisy said.
"Hey, maybe Lara can help them with the drug problem," Jasmine suggested.
Faith raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah. I'll ask her tomorrow."
"Lara?" Daisy asked.
Faith smiled.
"She's good a this."
"Oh."
"See you tomorrow," Jasmine said and then she and Faith left.
"Now what?" Sara asked when Faith and Jasmine were gone.
Daisy shrugged.
"Now I wait for my parents and hope they won't freak out."
Sara smiled.
"Yeah, I hope mine won't either. I'll see you tomorrow then."
"Okay."
They kissed and then Sara left.
"I knew there was more to them than just two horny sluts," Jasmine said thoughtfully as she and Faith left the house.
"Yeah," Faith agreed.
"Hi, Mom, hi, Dad," Daisy greeted her parents when they came home.
"You're still up?" her father asked, surprised.
"Yes, I need to talk to you about something."
Her parents glanced at each other.
"Sure," her mother said. They went to the sofa and sat down. "So, what's on your mind?"
Daisy hesitated for a moment.
"Em, this is going to sound really weird, but it's important to me. Em, I have two girls in my room, they're both stoned."
"What?" her father said, surprised. "Why1"
"Let me explain," Daisy interrupted him and he waited, curious. "Sara and I have seen them around before. They're junkies and we think they're homeless. Or runaways. We found them in an alley tonight, stoned, and we brought them here. I'd like to stay home tomorrow, so I can talk to them and maybe help them."
"And how do you want to do that?" her mother asked.
Daisy shrugged.
"I don't know. Yet. I was hoping Sara and I could talk to them, find out more about them and then maybe figure out a way to help them."
Her parents looked at one another, neither very enthusiastic about having two stoned girls in the house.
"I don't know1" her mother said.
"Please. A friend of mine can help them with the drug problem and maybe we can find them a home."
"You think?" her father asked skeptically.
"Yes. And even if we can't, I at least want to try and give them a chance."
Her parents looked at one another. They wanted to say no, bit they were both still feeling guilty because they had neglected her for so long.
"Very well," her father finally allowed.
"Thanks, Dad," Daisy said and smiled, relieved.
"And where will you sleep?" her mother asked.
"With Sara. It's not like we haven't slept together before," she pointed out when her parents glanced at one another.
"Okay."
"Thanks," Daisy said and got up. "I'll see you tomorrow then. Night."
"Good night."
"What did they say?" Sara asked when Daisy came to her.
"They said yes," Daisy said as she slipped under the cover.
"Great. Any idea what we can do?"
"Not the slightest."
Sara sighed.
"I hope we'll think of something by tomorrow."
Daisy nodded.
"Yeah," she said and cuddled up to Sara.
The next morning, Sara came to Daisy after breakfast and then they went to Daisy's room to wait for the girls to wake up. Daisy decided to bring a bucket, just in case they needed to throw up. And it was fortunately that she did, because when the first girl woke up, she started groaning and then leaned over the bed and threw up. Daisy was already waiting, making sure that all vomit went into the bucket and not on the floor.
When her stomach was empty, the girl looked around, confused.
"Where am I?" she asked and a look of panic crossed her face, which disappeared when she saw that her friend was next to her.
"You're safe," Daisy said, casting a meaningful glance at Sara.
"The fuck you talking about? I don't remember fucking you."
Sara and Daisy smiled.
"You didn't."
"How did1" She trailed off when her friend woke up. "Lucy?"
Lucy opened her eyes.
"Judy? I feel1"
Daisy was again ready with the bucket and Lucy vomited into it.
"You okay?" Judy asked.
Lucy groaned.
"My head is spinning."
Judy smiled.
"It'll pass."
"Yeah." Lucy looked around. "Where are we?"
"Beats me," Judy said and looked at Sara and Daisy.
"My place," Daisy said.
"Yeah? How'd we get here?"
"We brought you."
Judy frowned.
"Why?"
"We couldn't just leave you lying in that alley."
"Why not? It wouldn't be the first time."
"But it might as well have been the last time."
"Nobody gives a shit about two stoned bodies. Not even the cops."
Sara and Daisy glanced at one another.
"This is Sunnydale. Mortality rate here is higher than in New York."
"So fucking what? What the hell do you care what happens to us?"
"Somebody has to," Sara said.
"And you decided to be the ones."
Sara rolled her eyes.
"Listen, why don't you two take a shower first, put on some fresh clothes and then have a breakfast."
"Who the fuck are you?" Lucy asked, finally getting her bearings.
"I'm Sara."
"Daisy."
"Why are you doing this? You some kinda fairies?"
Sara and Daisy laughed.
"No, just two horny sluts like you," Daisy said.
"You wanna fuck us?" Judy asked and uncovered herself.
"Sure, but not now."
"Shouldn't you be, like, in school or something?" Lucy asked.
"Our parents excused us so we could see if we can help you."
"They know we're here?" Judy asked, surprised.
"Yes."
Judy and Lucy looked at one another, surprised.
"And they're okay?"
"They were a bit upset when I told them," Daisy said, "but then they calmed and said I could give it a try."
"You two some kinda Girl Scouts earning some stupid badge?"
Sara and Daisy grinned.
"No such luck. We're just two concerned girls trying to help you."
"What's the catch?" Lucy asked. "You wanna fuck us later?"
"And I thought we were horny," Daisy told Sara, who laughed.
"Yeah." She looked at Lucy. "Honestly? Sure, we'd love to fuck you, but that's at the bottom of our priority list right now.
"And you really don't have to keep offering yourselves to us," Daisy added.
"Yeah," Sara agreed. "You two should take a shower first, put on some fresh clothes and have a breakfast. Then we'll talk."
"Talk?" Judy asked.
"Yes, about you."
"What about us?"
"Well, we'd like to know more about you. The only thing we know is that you're horny like us, that you're junkies and that you're probably runaways or something."
"You have a problem with that?"
"We don't have a problem, you two do," Daisy said. "Horny's okay, but junkies and being a runaway isn't. Maybe we can help you."
"Get a home or something?" Lucy asked. "Ha," she snorted, "no one in their right mind would want us."
"You never know," Sara said, smiling. "After all, you care about one another."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Judy asked defensively.
"We saw the look in your eyes when you didn't know where Lucy was," Sara explained and Judy and Lucy glanced at one another. "And then there's us, we obviously give a damn, so there's no reason that someone else wouldn't as well." She got up. "Come on, get up and take a shower. Daisy, you show them to the bathroom and I'll prepare some clothes."
"Okay."
They uncovered Judy and Lucy and helped them up. Daisy took them to the bathroom and Sara prepared some clothes and took them there as well.
"So far so good," Sara said as they left the bathroom.
"Yeah."
"You up for a quick sixty-nine?"
Daisy grinned.
"Always."
"This feels so good," Lucy moaned as she and Judy stood in the shower, naked.
"Mmm," Judy responded and hugged Lucy even tighter.
"What's wrong?" Lucy asked, feeling that Judy was tense.
"Nothing. I'm just1 scared."
"Why?"
"When was the last time anyone cared what happens to us? Whether we live or die?"
Lucy thought about it as warm water streamed down their bodies.
"I don't know," she said, starting to feel a bit scared as well.
"This is the first time someone is trying to help us for some other reason than to fuck us."
"Not that they'd mind," Lucy said, trying to break the tension.
"At least they were honest about that."
"Yeah."
They were quiet for a while, just holding one another.
"Do you think they can help us find a home?" Lucy then asked.
Judy thought about it.
"I don't know." She was quiet for a few moments. "I hope so."
Then they were quiet again for a while.
"Come, let's get clean," Judy then said and broke the hug. "We don't want to keep them waiting."
Lucy smiled.
"Okay."
They hesitated for a moment and then leaned in for a kiss.
When they got downstairs, hand in hand, they were surprised by the sight of Sara and Daisy doing sixty-nine on the sofa. They glanced at one another, realizing that Sara and Daisy were obviously very horny.
"Em, excuse1" Judy started, but just then Daisy came.
Sara opened her eyes and was about to say something, noticing Judy and Lucy, when the orgasm hit her. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the sensation.
"Synchronized cumming," Daisy commented.
Sara laughed.
"Almost." Then she remembered Judy and Lucy. "Oh. Em, they're here."
Daisy turned around.
"Oh," she said and got up. "Had to release some of the tension," she explained as she calmly pulled up her panties and righted her skirt.
Sara chuckled at that, got up and made herself presentable.
"You two hungry?" she asked. "Breakfast is waiting."
Judy and Lucy glanced at one another and then followed Sara and Daisy to the kitchen.
"I hope that's enough," Daisy then said. "If not, the fridge is over there. We'll just go clean the bathroom. Enjoy."
She and Sara left. Judy and Lucy stared after them, surprised, and then sat down.
"Wow," Lucy said.
"Yeah, wow," Judy agreed. She nodded at the food. "You think we can eat all this?"
"Huh. I don't know."
When Sara and Daisy came down, Judy and Lucy were still eating, so they waited on the sofa, making out.
"You want more?" Sara asked when Judy and Lucy were done.
Judy groaned.
"I guess that answers that question," Daisy said, smiling.
"Yeah. Let's clean up."
They put the dishes in the dishwasher and cleaned the table. Then they sat down and Judy and Lucy glanced at one another nervously.
"So, you want us to tell you about ourselves first or do you want to tell us about yourselves?" Daisy asked.
Judy and Lucy glanced at one another.
"You can hold hands," Sara said, noticing their hand movement, and took Daisy's hand.
Judy's hand slowly moved and then Lucy's, until they finally met. Sara and Daisy smiled and waited for Judy and Lucy to get ready.
"We'll do it first," Judy then said.
"Okay."
An hour or so later, when they knew the most important things about one another, Judy and Lucy were relieved that Sara and Daisy didn't freak out. They also started to trust them more after Sara and Daisy told them about themselves.
They sat quietly for a while, thinking.
"So, you want our help?" Sara broke the silence.
Judy and Lucy glanced at one another.
"Yes," Judy said, nervous.
Sara and Daisy smiled.
"Good. So, first, we get you off drugs."
Judy frowned.
"How?"
Sara shrugged.
"I don't know yet. A friend of ours said that another friend might help you. They're coming over in the afternoon."
"More people know we're here?" Lucy asked.
"She and her sister helped us carry you here."
"Oh."
"Don't worry, they want to help you too," Daisy said.
"Why?"
Daisy shrugged.
"Because it's the right thing to do."
Judy and Lucy glanced at one another.
"Thanks," Lucy then said, not used to thanking people.
"What's wrong?" Daisy asked when she noticed that Lucy was shaking.
"She needs a fix," Judy said. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I'll need it too. Soon."
"We have no drugs," Sara said. "And even if we did, we wouldn't give them to you."
Judy nodded and hugged Lucy.
"This will pass soon, but it will come back stronger after a while."
"Is there anything we can do?"
Judy shook her head.
"Just be here, in case we lose control."
"Okay."
"Hey, guys," Faith said when she, Raelee and Lara came to Sara and Daisy.
"Hi," Sara said.
"Here, Trinity gave this," Faith said and gave her a bag.
"What is it?" Sara asked and looked in.
"Notes."
"Trinity gave them?" Daisy asked, surprised.
"Yes."
Sara and Daisy glanced at one another.
"Wow."
"So, where are they?" Faith asked.
"They? Oh. Come."
They went to the living room, where Judy and Lucy were sitting on the sofa. Judy and Lucy got up when they entered.
"Guys, these are Judy and Lucy," Daisy introduced them. "And these are Faith, Raelee and Lara."
Faith squirmed when she saw them.
"Ooh, bad Faith, bad Faith," she murmured and Sara and Daisy grinned at her, while Raelee and Lara, when they figured out what she meant, blushed. Judy and Lucy merely raised an eyebrow, surprised. "You two look even hotter at daylight," Faith complimented them and squirmed again. "So, em, you want our help?"
Judy and Lucy glanced at Sara and Daisy, who smiled encouragingly.
"Yes," Judy then said uncertainly.
"Okay." She glanced at Lara. "Lara?"
"You are addicted to drugs," Lara said.
Judy and Lucy weren't sure whether it was a question or a statement. They looked around, but everyone was just waiting.
"Yes," Judy said.
"If you want, I can remove the drugs from your bodies."
"How?" Judy asked, frowning.
"Magic," Lara said and demonstrated by lifting the sofa and rotating it along its longitudinal axis. Lucy yelped and she and Judy took a step back, startled.
"You did that?" Judy asked.
"Yes."
"How?"
"Magic."
"Magic?"
"Yes."
Judy and Lucy looked around.
"Hey, it's magic," Faith said, shrugging. "And besides, she's done that before."
"Done what?" Lucy asked.
"Clean someone of drugs."
"Oh."
"What will you do?" Judy asked.
"I will break the drugs down and your body will absorb them. You will still feel the need for a while, but it won't be overwhelming."
Judy and Lucy looked at one another. They wanted to get rid of drugs, but they were still having a problem with trusting these people who were trying to help them for no other reason than that it was the right thing to do.
"What do you want us to do?"
"Just lie on the sofa, close your eyes and relax."
Judy took a deep breath, smiled at Lucy encouragingly and then did as Lara told her.
Lara looked at Raelee, who smiled and took her hand. They kneeled in front of the sofa, put their hands on Judy's body and closed their eyes. Lara then concentrated and Raelee thought positive thoughts.
It took them a few minutes to break down the drugs.
"Can you get us some water, please?" Raelee said when they were done.
"Sure," Daisy said and went to the kitchen.
"How do you feel?" Lucy asked Judy, who sat up.
"Different," Judy said. "Good." She held up her hands for a few moments. "I'm not shaking." She got up and took a deep breath. "I still feel like I'm missing the drugs, but I can handle it."
"Here," Daisy said when she returned from the kitchen and gave Raelee and Lara each a glass of water.
"Thanks," Raelee said and drank.
"You want a refill?" Daisy asked when the glasses were empty.
"Yes."
"Okay," Daisy said and left.
Raelee looked at Lucy.
"Next," she said with an encouraging smile.
Lucy smiled back and lay on the sofa. She closed her eyes and tried to relax.
Raelee took Lara's hand again and they repeated the procedure.
"Lucy?" Judy asked when Lara and Raelee were done.
Lucy looked at her and smiled.
"Definitely better," she said and got up, making sure she didn't hit Raelee or Lara, who were drinking. "I'm not shaking," she said, holding out her hands.
"Thanks," Raelee said when she returned her glass.
Then she helped Lara, who was a bit tired, sit on the sofa. Lara closed her eyes and rested.
"Thanks," Judy said. "I don't know what you did, but it helped.
Raelee smiled.
"No problem. I'm glad we could help."
Judy thought for a moment.
"Em, are you also a, em, a witch?"
Raelee's smile widened.
"No."
"But1"
"She can tap into my personal strength. It's not much, but it seems to help." She laughed briefly as an idea struck her. "You could say I'm a booster pack. Motor Up or something."
Faith laughed at that.
"Oh," Judy said.
"Oh, I almost forgot," Faith said when she stopped laughing. "I want you to write down everything you can think of about yourselves. Names, last names, addresses, where you went to school. Stuff like that."
"Why?" Lucy asked.
"I'll have Willow, another friend, see what she can find about you two in official databases. Missing persons report, police records. Stuff."
"Why?"
"So that when someone adopts you or becomes your legal guardian, we'll be ready."
"Oh."
"I'll get the paper," Daisy said and left.
"My mom can help out too," Faith said.
"Your mom's a lawyer?" Sara asked.
Faith smiled.
"No, she's my legal guardian."
"She's not your mom?" Sara asked, frowning.
"She's my mom, she just didn't give birth to me. My birth mom lives in Boston."
"Oh."
"I'll ask the gang, maybe they can think of someone."
"The gang?" Judy asked.
"My friends," Faith explained. "The Scooby Gang."
Sara and Daisy laughed at that.
"Scooby Gang?" Judy asked.
"Yes. You know, Scooby Doo?" Faith clarified, but Judy's and Lucy's faces remained blank. "You don't know what that is?"
"No."
"Oh. It's a dog, a talking dog, from some stupid cartoon."
"Oh."
"Never mind." She thought for a moment. "And don’t let anyone tell you you're worthless. If I could get a home, so can you."
Lucy smiled gratefully.
"Thanks."
"So, beside the fact that you love sex, that you used to be junkies and that you're runaways, is there anything else we should know?"
Judy and Lucy looked at one another, thinking.
"We did a couple of porn movies," Judy said.
Faith raised an eyebrow.
"You did?"
"Yes," Lucy confirmed. "Three. I think." She looked at Judy. "Or was it four?"
Judy shrugged.
"I don't know."
"Okay," Faith said. "Why don't you write down names and stuff now?"
Judy and Lucy kneeled in front of the coffee table and started writing. Everyone noticed that they were not used to it and they made quite a few spelling and grammatical mistakes.
"That's it," Judy said when they were finished.
Faith took the two pieces of paper and quickly glanced over them.
"Okay," she said and looked back at them. "You coming to the Bronze tonight?"
Judy and Lucy glanced at one another and then looked at Sara and Daisy.
"I don't know," Judy said.
"Well, if you do, you can meet some more of our friends."
"Oh."
Faith looked at Lara.
"You okay, Lara?"
Lara nodded and got up.
"Are you leaving?" Sara asked.
"Yep. I believe you two have some studying to do."
Sara and Daisy groaned and Faith grinned.
"School just sucks sometimes," Sara said.
"I thought it sucked most of the time," Daisy said.
Sara smiled.
"A necessary evil."
"Yeah."
"We'll see you at the Bronze or in school," Faith said.
"Okay."
"Thank you," Judy said, looking at Lara.
Lara smiled.
"You're welcome."
"Okay, let's go," Faith said.
Raelee and Lara followed them and Daisy escorted them.
"You okay?" Sara asked Judy and Lucy.
Judy nodded.
"We haven't felt this good1 Actually, I don't think we've ever felt this good, at least not that we can remember."
"Yeah," Lucy agreed. "Thanks."
Sara smiled.
"No sweat."
"How are they?" Jasmine asked when Faith, Raelee and Lara came back to the park.
"They're fine." Faith grinned. "They look even hotter at daylight, I tell you." She nodded at Lara and Raelee. "Lara and Raelee cleaned them up." She looked around. "Does anyone know of someone who would adopt them?"
A chorus of shrugs answered her.
"No luck," Jasmine said.
"Yeah. But I'm not giving up."
"Me neither. Oh, Willow, could you check this up?" she asked Willow and gave her the two pieces of paper.
Willow took the papers and glanced at them.
"Sure."
"Thanks."
"Hello."
Judy and Lucy, who were sitting on the sofa, watching National Geographic, nearly jumped.
"Hello," Judy said.
"Mom, Dad, you're early," Daisy said as she and Sara came downstairs.
"Yes," Mrs Mackenzie said.
"Oh, these are Judy and Lucy," Daisy introduced them. "Guys, my parents."
"Hi," Lucy said, nervous.
"Can they stay until we find them a home?" Daisy asked, noticing the fear in Judy's and Lucy's eyes.
Her parents looked at her and then at Judy and Lucy. The girls looked pretty normal. And scared. They also remembered how Daisy and Sara had missed them. They glanced at one another, seeking the other's consent.
"They can," Mr Mackenzie said. "But no drugs."
"Thanks," Judy said.
"Don't worry, Dad, they're clean now," Daisy said. "A long story," she added when he looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"I'll go make lunch," Mrs Mackenzie said and left.
Mr Mackenzie followed her.
"That went well," Sara said when they were gone.
"Yes," Daisy agreed.
"You two okay?" Sara asked Judy and Lucy.
Judy nodded.
"Yes."
"Okay," Daisy said. "We'll just go upstairs and finish. We should be done in ten, fifteen minutes or so."
"Okay."
Sara and Daisy left and Judy and Lucy looked at one another.
"This is so weird," Lucy said.
"Yeah," Judy agreed.
"Mom," Faith said when she and Jasmine brought Alice back home.
"Faith."
"Em1 Shit. This is going to sound weird again."
Mrs Chase smiled.
"Weird seems normal when it comes to you."
Faith smiled.
"Yeah. Em, anyway, two friends of mine, Sara and Daisy, took in two runaway girls and we're trying to help them find a new home."
Mrs Chase raised an eyebrow.
"There's nothing wrong with that. Except that not many people would do that."
"Yeah. Em, I was wondering. If we found someone who would be willing to take them in, would you help them? You know, you have some experience with legal guardian stuff."
Mrs Chase smiled.
"Sure."
Faith smiled back.
"Thanks, Mom, you're the greatest," she said and gave her a brief hug.
As Faith left, Mrs Chase smiled. It was definitely the right decision to adopt Faith and her sisters.
At lunch, Judy and Lucy were quiet. They observed Daisy and her parents as they chatted. Needless to say, it didn't help their mood, because it was making it painfully clear what they were missing. Judy was coping, more or less, but Lucy seemed on the edge of tears.
"What's wrong?" Mr Mackenzie asked, noticing their sad expressions.
Lucy couldn't take it anymore and she ran away. Judy quickly went after her.
Mr and Mrs Mackenzie looked at one another, surprised.
"I think I know what's wrong," Daisy said and she got up. "We reminded them of what they're missing. I'll go after them."
"No, wait," Mrs Mackenzie said and looked at her husband. "I think we should go."
"You sure?" Daisy asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Yes," Mr Mackenzie said, nodding.
His wife nodded as well.
In Daisy's room, Lucy sat in a corner, sobbing. Judy sat beside her and hugged her. Lucy leaned her head on Judy's shoulder and Judy held her, caressing her occasionally.
"I'm scared," Lucy finally said.
"Me too," Judy confessed. "But at least we have each other."
Lucy nodded.
"I love you," she whispered.
"I love you too," Judy whispered back and kissed her on the temple.
There was a knock on the door and Mrs Mackenzie looked in.
"May we come in?" she asked when Judy looked at her.
Judy nodded and Mrs Mackenzie and her husband entered. They hesitated for a moment and then kneeled in front of the girls.
"Don't worry, we'll help you find a home," Mr Mackenzie said.
"But you wouldn't adopt us yourselves, would you," Judy said bitterly.
Mr and Mrs Mackenzie looked at one another, surprised.
"Would you like us to?" Mrs Mackenzie asked.
That was an answer Judy didn't expect. She sighed.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean…" She sobbed for a moment, but she managed to control herself. "It's just that with our past and at our age no one in their right mind would want us."
Mr and Mrs Mackenzie looked at one another.
"Perhaps…" Mr Mackenzie started, looking at his wife for approval.
Mrs Mackenzie nodded.
"If no one would want you, you could stay with us. Or with Mr and Mrs Tapping, Sara's parents."
Judy looked at them, surprised, and Lucy also looked at them.
"Are… Em, I don't mean to be rude, but are you saying that because you feel sorry for us or because you actually care about us? Or are you just saying that to make us feel better?"
"Well, the first," Mr Mackenzie said.
"We like you, but we don't know you yet well enough," Mrs Mackenzie said. "And we do want to make you feel better."
"At least you're honest," Judy said. "Thanks."
"Even though we don't care about you like we do about Daisy, we still care enough to want you to have a home."
"And as far as your past is concerned," Mr Mackenzie said, "it wasn't your fault."
Judy gulped.
"Thanks."
Mrs Mackenzie smiled.
"Why don't you come down and finish your lunch?"
Judy nodded.
"We will. In a moment."
"Okay," Mrs Mackenzie nodded and then she and her husband left.
"That was a… a surprise," Lucy said when they were gone.
Judy nodded.
"I don't feel so scared anymore."
"Me nether," Lucy agreed.
Judy kissed her on the temple.
"How about we go freshen up and then finish lunch?"
Lucy nodded.
"Yes," she said, wiping her eyes.
"Come," Judy said, got up and then helped Lucy get up as well.
"Everything okay?" Daisy asked when her parents came back.
Mrs Mackenzie nodded.
"They were scared." She hesitated for a moment, glancing at her husband. "If nobody would want them, would you mind if we adopted them?"
Daisy raised her eyebrows, astonished.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes," Mrs Mackenzie said, nodding.
"Well, no. I think it'd be great."
"Good," Mrs Mackenzie said, relieved.
"Where did you get the idea?"
"Well, we remembered what you told us about how you felt when we neglected you," Mr Mackenzie said, "and we realized that it must be much worse for them. You at least had a home, they don't."
"Oh. Okay. Did you tell them?"
"Yes."
"How did they react?"
"Bitterly," Mrs Mackenzie said. "But I think that they're not so scared anymore."
"Good," Daisy said, nodding. "Oh, can they go to the Bronze with me and Sara?"
"Of course."
"Thanks." She looked at Judy and Lucy, who came in, hand in hand. "Hey," she said, smiling. "Feeling better?"
Judy and Lucy smiled back.
"Yeah," Judy said, glancing at Daisy's parents.
"Good."
"You okay?" Judy asked when they entered the Bronze and she noticed that Lucy was tense.
Lucy nodded.
"Just nervous. I mean, probably everyone in here knows us as… whores."
"Relax, they know us as whores too," Sara said.
"Yeah," Daisy agreed. "And they also know that Faith is our friend."
"So?" Lucy asked.
"They don't want to mess with her."
"Is she that bad?"
"No, no," Sara said. "She's not bad. They… respect her, but they also know that she would beat them up if they messed with her or her friends."
"Or they just find her weird," Daisy added.
"Yeah."
"Weird?" Lucy asked.
Sara and Daisy glanced at one another.
"Well, anytime something weird happens, she and her friends are there. They probably saved the lives of quite a few people here."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"From what?" Judy asked.
Sara and Daisy glanced at one another again.
"Well, we'd have to show you," Sara said.
"Let's wait for Faith," Daisy said, "she can explain."
"Okay," Sara agreed.
"Explain what?" Lucy asked.
"Well," Daisy said, hesitating as she glanced at Sara, "have you heard about Dracula?"
"Dracula?" Judy asked, puzzled. "Yes. Why?"
"Well, he's a vampire." She paused. "Vampires really do exist."
"And other demons as well," Sara added.
"Yeah."
Judy and Lucy stared at them for a few moments.
"You're kidding, right?" Judy then said.
"No," Daisy said, shaking her head. "We were attacked by a couple of vampires, but Faith killed them."
"Look, there she is," Sara said, noticing Faith. "Or is that Jasmine?"
"Let's find out," Daisy said. "Faith!" she called and waved her hand.
Faith saw her and came to them.
"Hi, guys."
"Hi," Sara said. "Em, we were just telling them about vampires. You think you could help out?"
Faith grinned.
"Sure. Hold on, I think I saw Dawn in the back. Take them to the hall, I'll be right back."
"Okay. Come."
Faith left and Sara and Daisy took Judy and Lucy to the hall.
"Faith."
Faith turned.
"Hey, guys," she said when she saw Alison and Billy.
"Em, I just wanted you to know that the trial is over and my dad got twenty years," Alison said.
"Yeah? Cool. And his cop friend?"
"I don't know, but he also went to jail."
"Good."
"And Mom got a divorce, we're free."
Faith smiled.
"I'm glad."
"Thanks."
"Did you tell Dawn yet?"
"Yeah, a few moments ago."
Faith looked around and saw Dawn.
"Oh. Good." She looked back at Alison and Billy. "Listen, I gotta go now. I'm glad things worked out. I'll see you around."
"Okay," Alison said.
Faith walked over to Dawn.
"Hey."
Dawn looked at her and quirked her mouth.
"Hey."
"I need you help."
"With what?" Dawn asked, alert.
"Just a change of face."
Dawn blinked.
"You think I'm some sort of zoo animal?"
Faith grinned sheepishly.
"Sorry, but it's the quickest and the best way of telling someone about vampires."
Dawn rolled her eyes.
"Fine. When?"
"Now."
"Where?"
"In the hall. Come."
Dawn followed Faith to the hall.
"Guys, this is Dawn," Faith introduced her to Judy and Lucy. "She's a vampire."
Dawn promptly changed her face and Judy and Lucy jumped back with a yelp.
"Don't worry, she's okay," Faith said.
"You should be careful who you have sex with," Sara said. "You wouldn't want to end up as their meal."
Judy gulped, nodding.
"They are cold," Daisy said and Dawn obliged by extending her hands.
Faith tried to hide her grin.
"Go on, touch her," Sara encouraged them.
Judy hesitated for a moment and then carefully touched Dawn's hand.
"It's cold," she declared.
"Yes," Daisy said.
Lucy followed Judy's example and also touched Dawn's hand.
"Is that all?" Dawn asked when Lucy let go of her hand.
"Yeah. Thanks," Faith said.
"Whatever," Dawn said, changing back to her Human face, and left.
"Wow," Lucy said.
"You can say that again," Faith said with a grin.
"Em, Sara said there are other demons as well," Judy said.
"Yeah, there's plenty of different kinds."
"Oh."
"I guess we'll be more careful now," Lucy said.
"Yeah. Thanks."
Faith smiled.
"No problem. I'm gonna get me a drink now. See ya."
"Okay," Sara said.
Faith left and the four girls followed her back to the main room.
"Let's get a table," Daisy said.
In the morning, Judy and Lucy were awoken by Mrs Mackenzie.
"Time to get up, girls."
Judy moaned.
"Now?"
"Breakfast. You can go back to bed later, if you want."
Judy moaned again.
"Okay. Thanks."
Mrs Mackenzie smiled and left.
"This is so strange," Lucy then said.
"What?"
"Getting awoken by someone that doesn't want to immediately fuck us."
"Oh. Yeah." Judy smiled and kissed Lucy. "How about we take a shower and go downstairs?"
"Okay."
The breakfast passed without incident and both Judy and Lucy were more comfortable with being around a family than they were the day before. And then, when Daisy went to school and Mr and Mrs Mackenzie went to work, they were alone.
"Can you believe it?" Lucy said. "We were left alone."
"So?" Judy said, confused.
"They trust us not to steal anything."
"Oh. Yeah."
Lucy sighed.
"I wish we had a family."
Judy smiled and hugged her.
"I'm sure we will," she said.
"I hope so," Lucy said, hugging her back.
"Daisy?" Sara said, noticing Daisy's thoughtful expression.
Daisy looked at her.
"Yes?"
"I can hear you brain wheels turning."
Daisy flashed her a big smile.
"Yeah. I just got the weirdest idea."
"About what?"
"About who could adopt Judy and Lucy."
Sara raised an eyebrow.
"Who?"
"Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien."
Sara laughed.
"Are you serious?"
Daisy shrugged.
"It's worth a try. I mean, they won't have any kids of their own."
Sara thought about it and then smiled.
"Let's go ask them."
"Hello, girls," Ms Delfino said when she and Ms O'Brien came out of staff room.
"Hi," Daisy said. "Em, this might sound weird."
"It was your idea," Sara said when Daisy looked at her for help.
"Yeah, right. So, em, have you ever thought about having kids?"
The two teachers looked at one another, startled.
"We have," Ms O'Brien said. "But that was before we came together."
"Would you be interested in adopting?"
The teachers looked at one another, surprised.
"We would, but I don't think single or lesbian mothers can adopt."
"How about becoming legal guardians?"
"Legal guardians?" Ms Delfino asked.
"Yes. It's sort of like adoption. I think. Faith's mother is her legal guardian."
"So that's why there's a discrepancy," Ms O'Brien said.
"Yes."
"Is this getting somewhere?" Ms Delfino asked.
Daisy glanced at Sara.
"Yes. We know of two runaway girls, our age, who need a home."
The two teaches stared at them for a few moments, surprised, and then looked at one another.
"And you thought we could become their legal guardians?" Ms O'Brien finally asked.
Daisy shrugged.
"Well, we thought you might like to have kids and they need a family, so1"
The teachers looked at one another again.
"Well1"
"We'll have to think about it," Ms Delfino said.
"Yes."
"So you're interested?" Sara asked hopefully.
"Well, I suppose so, but we need to think this over."
"Okay."
"We'll tell you tomorrow," Ms Delfino said.
"Okay."
"Oh, em, there's something you should know," Daisy said. She hesitated for a moment. "They, em, well, they like sex. Like us. And they used to be junkies."
The teachers looked at one another again, thinking.
"Used to be junkies?" Ms O'Brien asked.
"Yes. They're clean now."
"I see." She thought for a moment. "And they like sex?"
"Yes."
"So they're having it with whoever's willing?"
"Yes."
Ms O'Brien scratched her head.
"We definitely need to think this over," she told Ms Delfino.
"Yes."
"Okay, that's all we ask," Daisy said.
Ms Delfino smiled.
"We'll let you know tomorrow."
"Okay. Bye."
Sara and Daisy left and the two teachers looked at one another.
"There sure is more to them than just hot bodies," Ms O'Brien said.
Ms Delfino smiled.
"Definitely."
"Hi, guys," Daisy said when she and Sara came home.
"Hi," Judy said and turned off the TV.
"We have a great news. We talked to two of our teachers, Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien, and we told them about you. They said they'll think about it."
Judy and Lucy were speechless.
"You mean1" Judy started.
Sara smiled.
"Yes. I mean, they still have to think about it."
"Wait. They're both women?" Lucy asked.
"Yes. Oh! Does that bother you? You'd have two moms instead of a mom and a dad."
Judy and Lucy looked at one another, thinking.
"Well, no," Lucy said.
"No," Judy agreed.
"Cool. So you're interested?"
Judy nodded.
"Yes."
"Alright. They'll tell us tomorrow if they're interested. If they are, we'll tell them to come here so they can talk to you and you can get to know one another."
"Okay," Judy said and smiled at Lucy, who smiled back. "What are they like?"
"Have you thought about it?" Ms Delfino asked Ms O'Brien when they sat down to have a cup of coffee.
Ms O'Brien nodded.
"I would like to have children. It's just the idea of adopting a teenager1"
"Mrs Chase did."
"Mmm, yes." She thought for a moment. "Can we afford it?"
Ms Delfino knit her eyebrows.
"I think so. I think we're actually saving money now that we live together. And besides, they're teenagers. No dirty diapers, no getting up in the middle of the night."
Ms O'Brien smiled.
"Yes. Still, you know what teenagers can be like."
"They signed that petition. They're helping two other teenagers get a home1"
"Well, yes." She sighed. "I'm running out of excuses."
Ms Delfino smiled.
"Okay, one last one. Can we handle the responsibility? I mean, they love sex and they used to be junkies. Not to mention that they're runaways."
Ms O'Brien raised an eyebrow.
"Daisy said that they're not junkies anymore."
"Okay, one problem less."
"And sex, well, Sara and Daisy love sex and they're wonderful girls."
Ms Delfino smiled.
"True."
"And as for runaways, they could use a home."
"So you think we're up to handling them and offering them a home?"
Ms O'Brien thought for a moment.
"Yes."
"Hi, Faith," Willow said when she and Tara came to the park.
"Hey."
"I checked them out."
"Who?"
"Judy and Lucy."
"Oh."
"Here."
Faith took the folder and looked inside.
"That's not much."
"That's all there was."
"Oh. Thanks. I'll take this to them later."
"Girls!" Ms O'Brien called when she saw Sara and Daisy the next day.
"Ms O'Brien," Daisy said. "Em, did you and1"
Ms O'Brien smiled.
"We did. The answer is yes."
Sara and Daisy smiled.
"That was one in a million," Sara said.
"Yeah," Daisy agreed and looked back at the teacher. "Oh, we told Judy and Lucy about you and they're okay with you two being a couple. Oh, as a matter of fact, they're a couple too."
Ms O'Brien raised an eyebrow.
"They are?"
"Yes."
"Oh. Okay."
"So, em, you want to come over to my place and talk to them."
"They live with you?" Ms O'Brien asked, surprised.
"Yes."
"Oh." She thought for a moment. "When?"
Daisy shrugged.
"Anytime in the afternoon. We have six periods today."
Ms O'Brien thought for a moment.
"Okay. Will three o'clock be okay?"
"Sure."
"Good," Ms O'Brien said and smiled. "We'll see you then."
When Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien came to Daisy's house, Judy and Lucy were very nervous, after all, they were about to meet the two women who were considering giving them a home. They didn't want to screw up this chance.
"We'll leave you two alone," Daisy said with a smile when she and Sara brought the two teachers to the living room.
"Aren't you going to introduce us?" Ms Delfino asked.
Daisy smiled.
"Nope."
She and Sara left and the two teachers and the two girls stared at one another curiously.
"Well, I'm Michelle Delfino."
"And I'm Claudia O'Brien."
Judy and Lucy glanced at one another.
"I'm Judy."
"I'm Lucy."
The teachers smiled.
"Hi. Why don't we sit down," Ms O'Brien said.
The girls sat on the sofa and the two teachers took the chairs.
"Why don't you tell us about yourselves?" Ms Delfino said.
"Or would you prefer we tell you about ourselves first?" Ms O'Brien asked.
Judy and Lucy glanced at one another and then Judy took a deep breath.
"We'll go first."
"And please be honest."
Judy nodded.
"We will."
About an hour later, Sara and Daisy came downstairs to check up on things. They each held a bag.
"We're done here, girls," Ms O'Brien said when she saw them.
"And?" Sara asked, hoping for the best.
Ms O'Brien smiled.
"Looks like you got us a couple of daughters."
Sara and Daisy smiled.
"Yes," Daisy said, excited.
"We'll take them home now," Ms Delfino said.
"Okay."
"Em, about the clothes1" Judy started.
"You can keep ours. In fact, since we don't want your moms to go broke," Sara said, smiling mischievously at the two teachers, "we packed some of our clothes."
"No1"
"We insist," Daisy stopped her and gave her the bag. "You've seen my closet, it's full. And Sara's is just about as full. So don't worry, we have plenty of clothes. And other things," she added when Judy looked into the bag.
Judy quickly closed it, blushing.
"You're blushing?" Sara asked.
"Just surprised, that's all," Judy quickly said. "Thanks."
Sara grinned.
"You're welcome. Oh, you can also keep the bag."
When they got to Ms Delfino's and Ms O'Brien's place, Judy and Lucy curiously looked around the house that was now their home. It wasn't very big, but it was big enough.
"We'll show you around the house first," Ms O'Brien said, "and let you settle in." She paused. "And then we'll talk about school."
"School?" Judy and Lucy asked in unison, surprised.
"What about it?" Judy asked.
"Claudia and I will tutor you," Ms Delfino said.
Judy and Lucy groaned.
"We'll have to study?"
The teachers smiled.
"Yes. You did say you want to go back to school, didn't you?"
"Well, yes."
"And I suppose you'd like to get it over with as fast as possible?"
"Oh, definitely," Judy agreed.
"Well, then you have to study. We'll talk about it later, but I think you should take the GED."
"GED?" Lucy asked.
"It's a special test. That way you won't have to go to school."
"Oh."
"And besides, if you have nothing to do while we're at work, you will quickly get bored."
"Yeah, probably."
"Definitely." Ms Delfino smiled. "Don't worry, we'll start with the easy things. First, you will read a book, maybe a fairy tale."
"A fairy tale?" Lucy asked, surprised.
"Yes. And if that's too easy or too childish, we'll find you something else. And then you'll write a summary and we'll check your spelling and grammar."
Judy and Lucy groaned.
"And we'll also start with some simple math," Ms O'Brien added.
Judy and Lucy groaned even louder.
"You do have to know these things," Ms Delfino continued. "And besides, you will have to learn more useless things than that."
"And we'll also teach you how to use a computer," Ms O'Brien said.
"I know what that is," Lucy said, excited, and Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien smiled at her.
"Good. Come, let's get you settled in. The bedrooms are upstairs. Do you want separate bedrooms or will you sleep together?"
"Together," Judy and Lucy said in unison.
Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien smiled.
"Okay."
"Em, what do we call you?" Lucy asked as they went upstairs.
Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien glanced at one another.
"Well, I suppose you can use our first names," Ms Delfino said. "And when you're ready, you can call us Mom or Mother."
"Yes," Ms O'Brien agreed with a smile.
Judy and Lucy smiled back.
"Okay."
"What' so funny?" Ms Delfino asked when Ms O'Brien chuckled.
"Remember how our parents reacted when we told them we were a couple?"
Ms Delfino smiled.
"Unfortunately. They're still giving me a hard time about it."
Ms O'Brien smiled.
"Me too. Now imagine how they will react when we tell them we adopted two teenage runaways, who also happen to be a couple."
Ms Delfino groaned.
"Damn, I forgot about that."
Ms O'Brien smiled.
"When are you going to tell them?"
Ms Delfino thought about it.
"After we officially adopt them. Or become their legal guardians."
"Me too," Ms O'Brien agreed.
They were quiet for a while.
"I think we're really lucky," Ms Delfino then said.
"You can say that again," Ms O'Brien agreed. "I never thought we'd have children and now we have two."
"And they're already teenagers, which means no diapers."
Ms O'Brien smirked.
"You really think teenagers are easier to raise than babies?"
"A good point," Ms Delfino conceded with a smile.
"Any ideas for their curriculum?"
"Well, I thought that tomorrow we could show them around Sunnydale. And until we put together a plan, they could watch some documentaries on TV. It would be educational."
Ms O'Brien smiled.
"I bet a lot of children would like to watch TV instead of going to school."
"Oh, definitely," Ms Delfino agreed with a smile. She sighed. "I wonder what our colleagues will say about that."
"They did support us when Mrs Fuller wanted to fire us. I suppose they'll be glad, even if they find it strange."
Ms Delfino thought about it.
"I hope so."
Ms O'Brien leaned closer.
"So, you want to check out the toys that Sara and Daisy gave us?"
Ms Delfino gasped and then giggled.
"Sure."
"How do you feel?" Judy asked when she and Lucy were lying in bed.
Lucy smiled.
"Wonderful. I mean, I have a home, a family. We have a home. Imagine that. I mean, you were the only real family I've had, ever, and now I have parents as well. Sure, they're not a mom and a dad, but I don't mind that one bit."
Judy smiled and caressed her.
"I know exactly how you feel. I'm not too excited about studying, but, like Sara1 Or was it Daisy? Whatever. Like she said, it's a necessary evil."
Lucy giggled.
"Yes."
Judy smirked as she thought of something.
"Do you realize that we didn't have sex for, like, two days?"
Lucy frowned, thinking about it, and then smiled.
"Yeah. But I don't really miss it."
"Me neither. Though, if you want1"
"No, no, it's okay, I just wanna lie close to you." She smiled mischievously. "Though we can do it tomorrow while1"
"What?" Judy asked when Lucy trailed off.
"I was just thinking what to call them."
"Them? Oh."
"Yeah. I mean, they said we could call them by their first names, but, well1 I don't know." She thought for a moment. "I think I'm gonna call them Mom. Or Moms. After all, that's what they are."
"Yeah. But I'll have to get used to it."
"Me too."
Judy smiled.
"Yeah." She hesitated for a moment. "I love you, Lucy."
Lucy stared at her, surprised, for a moment and then smiled.
"I love you too, Judy."
Judy smiled again and they kissed.
When Ms Delfino woke up in the middle of the night, the other side of the bed was empty. She lay awake for a while, but when Ms O'Brien didn't come back, she got up and went to look for her. She found her standing outside their daughters' room, leaning on the doorframe, observing the sleeping girls. She smiled and hugged her from behind. Ms O'Brien smiled as well and leaned back.
"What are you doing?" Ms Delfino whispered.
"Watching them," Ms O'Brien whispered back. She sighed. "Can you believe it? We have two daughters."
Ms Delfino rested her chin on Ms O'Brien's shoulder, kissing her neck.
"Yes," she said observing the girls proudly. "I hope we'll be good mothers to them."
Ms O'Brien nodded.
"Me too."
They stood still for a while, observing their daughters.
"They look so innocent," Ms Delfino then said.
"Yes," Ms O'Brien agreed. "You'd never think that they have been through so much already."
Ms Delfino nodded. Then she smiled when Ms O'Brien nodded as well.
"How long have you been watching them?" she asked.
Ms O'Brien shrugged.
"I don't know. A while."
"Then come, we have work tomorrow."
Ms O'Brien smiled and nodded again.
"Okay," she said and then followed Ms Delfino back to their bedroom, holding her hand.
"This feels so weird," Lucy said in the morning as she and Judy lay in bed.
"What?"
"This, waking up so early."
"Oh. Yeah."
There was a gentle knock on the door.
"We're awake!" Lucy called.
The door opened and Ms O'Brien looked in, smiling.
"Are you coming down for breakfast?"
Judy and Lucy looked at one another.
"Yes," Judy said.
"Okay," Ms O'Brien said and left.
Lucy sighed.
"I feel1"
"Happy?"
Lucy smiled.
"Yes," she said and kissed her. "Come on, let's get up." She smiled. "We don't want to keep our moms waiting."
Judy smiled.
"Good morning, girls," Ms Delfino said with a smile when Judy and Lucy came downstairs.
"Morning," the girls answered in unison.
"Breakfast is ready."
"What's that?" Lucy asked.
"Eggs. You've never had them before?"
Lucy glanced at Judy.
"I don't think so."
Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien glanced at one another.
"Try them," Ms O'Brien said. "I think you'll like them."
Judy and Lucy sat down and tried the eggs.
"Mmm, I like it," Judy said.
Lucy nodded.
"This is good."
Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien smiled.
"Glad you like it."
"Any plans for today?" Judy asked as she ate.
"As a matter of fact, yes," Ms Delfino said.
Judy and Lucy stopped eating and looked at her.
"What?"
The teachers smiled.
"We wrote down what we want you to watch on TV."
"Like what?" Lucy asked.
"Just some documentaries," Ms O'Brien said and smiled. "Don't worry, you'll love them."
"Do we have to write a summary?" Judy asked.
Ms O'Brien looked at Ms Delfino.
"Yes," Ms Delfino said. "Choose one of the documentaries and write a summary. But make sure you don't both choose the same documentary."
"Oh. Okay."
"We also left you a few numbers where you can reach us, in case there's something wrong."
"You do know how to use a phone?" Ms O'Brien asked.
Judy nodded.
"Yes."
"Good. And the TV?"
"Too."
"Okay, just checking."
"And in the afternoon, we want to show you around Sunnydale," Ms Delfino said. "And then we hope Faith and her mother will come over and so we can discus your adoption."
The girls looked up, excited.
"Yeah?" Lucy said.
The teachers smiled.
"Yes."
"Cool."
"And the next day, we could go shopping for some clothes," Ms O'Brien suggested.
"That'd be nice," Lucy said.
"Yeah," Judy agreed. "Thanks1 Mom."
The teachers glanced at one another.
"You don't have to call us mom if you're not1" Ms O'Brien started.
"We want to," Judy stopped her. "I mean, that's what you two are to us, moms. Though we'll have to get used to it."
"We too," Ms Delfino said, smiling.
"And besides, it would look better in court. If you need another reason."
"The first one was good enough," Ms O'Brien said with a smile.
"Good."
"Wait!" Lucy suddenly realized something. "We can't call you both mom. I mean, it would be confusing."
"Yeah," Judy agreed and thought for a moment. "Do you have a coin?"
Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien looked at one another and then checked their wallets. Ms O'Brien found a coin first and she gave it to Judy.
"Here."
"Okay. Heads, you're mom, tails, you're mother," Judy said and flipped the coin.
The coin twirled through the air and Judy let it fall to the floor.
"I guess I'm mother," Ms O'Brien said with a smile when the coin stopped.
"Fine with me," Ms Delfino said.
"Okay."
"Oh, Claudia, we better get going," Ms Delfino said after she glanced at the clock.
Ms O'Brien checked the time as well.
"Yes." She looked at the girls. "We'll see you later."
"Okay, Mother," Judy said.
"Bye, girls," Ms Delfino said.
"Bye, Mom," Lucy said.
The teachers smiled and left.
Judy looked at Lucy and Lucy smiled.
"Let's go check that list and see when we'll have the time to1 relieve some tension."
Lucy laughed.
"What happened to the good old sex?"
Judy grinned.
"Put on some new clothes and became respectable."
Lucy chuckled.
"Yeah, right. Come, let's go check that list."
"So, how does it feel to be a mother?" Faith as with a mischievous grin when she met Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien in school.
The teachers smiled at her.
"Wonderful. Thank you," Ms O'Brien said.
"No problem."
"Oh, Faith," Ms Delfino said. "Em, Daisy said your mom is your legal guardian?"
"Yes. You want us to come over and give you some pointers?"
"Yes, please. We would appreciate it."
"Okay." She thought for a moment. "Would four o'clock be okay?"
The teachers looked at one another.
"Yes, I think we'll be back by then."
"Okay. Oh, I'll need your address."
"Just a moment," Ms Delfino said.
She took a piece of paper from her folder, wrote down the address and gave it to Faith.
"Okay. I'll see you later then."
"Hi, guys," Jasmine said when Judy, Lucy and their mothers came to the park in the afternoon.
"Hi, Faith," Lucy said.
"Nope, I'm Jasmine," Jasmine corrected her.
"Jasmine?" Ms O'Brien said, confused.
"I'm Faith's sister," Jasmine explained. "She's over there."
The teachers and their daughters looked and saw Faith, who was being an engine for the merry-go-round again.
"You're twins?" Ms Delfino asked.
"Yes."
"But I haven't seen you in school."
"I'm starting next year."
"I see." She looked around. "Looks like half the school is here."
"Yes," Ms O'Brien agreed.
"Is this your daughter?" Lucy asked Renee when she spotted Hope.
"Yes," Renee said, smiling. "Her name is Hope."
"She's so cute," Judy said, smiling as well.
"Hey, guys," Faith said when she came back, her mission accomplished.
"Hi, Faith."
"Hi," Faith said to Ms Delfino and Ms O'Brien.
"Hello, Faith," Ms O'Brien said.
"Mom and I are coming by later."
"Good."
"How come you didn't come to the Bronze last night?"
"We were home, with Mom and Mother," Judy said.
"Oh. And?"
"It was so great," Lucy said and Faith and Jasmine smiled when she saw how her eyes brightened.
"Good."
"Do you girls want to stay here?" Ms Delfino asked. "We can do the sightseeing some other day."
Judy and Lucy glanced at one another.
"No, let's do it now," Judy said.
"Are you sure?" Ms O'Brien asked.
"Yes," Lucy said nodding. "We'll see you around," she said to Faith and Jasmine.
"Okay," Faith said, smiling.
"See you," Jasmine said.
The teachers and their daughters left.
"Man, that felt good," Faith said.
Jasmine smiled.
"Yeah. I hope everything works out for them."
"Me too."
The End
