Seoul, Korea - March 15, 2004

Just a little over 3 weeks left in South Korea. It looks like I'll be getting my one-year bonus, completing my contract and all the rest. They still haven't bought a plane ticket out of here (which is part of the contractual agreement). But I'm not too worried about it.

On some interesting notes. Impeachment of the South Korean President seems like its going to happen. Lots of noise about it through the newspapers, etc. In addition, Madrid, the city I'll most likely be flying into just experienced a rather severe terrorist attack. I've been watching the news to see who is to blame and how the Spanish people react. I certainly hope they don't blame current Prime Minister Aznar and be swept by anti-american sentiment. I'm very much hoping they blame the actual people who committed the crimes and not scapegoats. It seems like the anti-American sentiments that were so strong in South Korea last year at this time have been quenched and everything back to normal. I'm just not ready to into another place where its ripe. We'll see what happens. Definetely a tragedy in regards to what has happened with Madrid and the terrorist attack on the trains!

Everything in South Korea, is more or less daily stuff as usual. Over the next few weeks, I get to start packing up and getting ready to go. I can't help but feel a lot of excitement and anxiousness to get the time moving by quickly as well. Its just the waiting part at this time.

Lately I've been focusing quite a bit on things in life in Spain. Watched a French DVD entitled 'The Spanish Apartment' about a French guy who spends a year in Barcelona. It looks very interesting. I've also been looking at as many pictures as I can on Spain - recently of Madrid. I'll actually be in a smaller city named Castellon which isn't all that far from Valencia.

Its also election day in Spain. I'm curious how the media will react to Aznar's potential sucessor within his Party, and the opposite group. I suppose I'll know soon.

Since I'm in Korea, I might as well say something about Korea for the website. Ahmm.. mind is blank.. ;) I think its already gone to Spain.
