SEOUL, KOREA - August 25, 2001
Back in Korea. Its been a long, long, long plane ride. Staying at my friend Lance's apartment in Itaewon. Its nearby the military base. Everything in Korea and Seoul is remarkably the same. I walked around Shinchon and alot of the familiar places I use to go. Still pretty much the same place. I have alot of things to think about - basically about 'place' - where I want to be, what I want to do next. I could be just about anywhere. Thinking of doing some more travelling to a few more places, being reflective about everything, and hopefully in a month or so.. i'll know exactly which place I want to be right now.
Seems to be a very good chance that I'll be going back to Jakarta on the onward plane ticket. Maybe see some of Philippines and China after that. Then back to Korea, and maybe decide between either Korea, Vietnam, China or California as next big destination to start the next phase of life. Kind of in seach of a place right now. Hmm.. where do I really want to be? (I think of one of a few people in this world who has this kind of dilemna? Hard thing to really describe to people or have them relate to - except the hardcore travellers and seekers and searchers and such).
possibly Jakarta?
