My Favorite Bands

Fuel
My absolute favorite band ever! The Raw, Sensual, Leather Clad Vocal Stylings of Brett Scallions, the Genius of Carl Bell, The Sheer Power of Kevin Miller's drums, and Jeff Abercrombie, a hell of a bass player! Their website features tour dates, a message board, photos galore, and merchandise (Fuel condoms, anyone?)

Puddle of Mudd
Puddle of Mudd are a discovery of nu metal jerk Fred Durst. Unlike Limp Bizkit, these guys don't rap and don't suck either. In fact, their lead singer Wes Scantlin sounds like a cross between Good Ol' Brett (see above), Gavin Rossdale, Scott Weiland, and even at times Kurt Cobain. Put it on in your pinto and throw on your stocking cap, biz-nitch.

Stabbing Westward
Stabbing Westward have been around a while and are still every bit the dark and sensual rockers they always have been, but their newest album also includes strummable gems like "I Remember" and "Happy." Side note: if it wasn't for these guys I would have never met my schmoopie Jared :P If you ask real nice I might even tell you the story.

The Institute of Official Cheer!
This is one crazy website full of kitschy laughs. James Lileks (who just had a book come out btw) takes a good hard look at the ridiculous fashions, food, interiors, and even hotels of the 60's and 70's. It's great.

Urban Legends Galore!
This website is really addictive. It basically consists of urban legends, pieces of trivia, and even a few laughs. Once you get started reading the sometimes lurid tales, you just can't stop. Proceed with care. Updated daily.
