What is Love?

This letter is in response to "Tormented in Tennessee", circulated on Sept. 24, 1998. She was jilted by her fiancee, and thinks she still loves him. She asked what is love?

I, too, was jilted some years ago. I was sweet 22 years old. I could not understand what went wrong. I was totally sincere, loving, and honest. After asking God for help, understanding, and direction,I received an answer and direction. All people are created equally and are equally important to God but do not grow-up or wise-up equally on this earth. It is not the outside that counts, but the inside, the spirit. Wise people realize that we are not bees or flowers. We all have spirits needing to connect with another spirit for encouragement and that can make us want to keep giving and loving, or not. After all, our physical beings don't last forever we realize! Can love? I think so! If this man who jilted 'tormented' cannot feel love for her maybe he is not a coward or a bad man. As a student of astrology for many years I discovered that there is a particular attraction between people many times. When one person's Mars is 'on' or in the same sign as another person's Venus, the Mar's person has the power to seduce the Venus person. Maybe he is not consciously aware of this power or influence he has but sometimes he (or she) is aware. This is where 'good' and 'bad' comes in. If the Mar's person has no conscience or morality, (thinks he's immortal!)~~it is then he can abuse the Venus person who can suffer possible spiritual destruction, as it's the spirit that hurts. God teaches us that we are all His special creations and He loves us. He wants us to learn just how special we are with deep thinking and wants us to rise above any earthly physicalness and hurt that would destroy our soul, our spirit. Astrology teaches us of our earthly physicalness, weaknesses, etc., all in reference to our physical body, but not of God, or of our spirit, or conscience. Only God can nurture and heal our spirits to rise above our earthliness and to know our true worth through His spirit, His light, and personal love. He teaches us to know about spirit and love on this earth. ~He couldn't do it anywhere else, could He.
