Every person is affected by ten "planet" influences and more such as the Ascendant and other moons like Chiron, or even an asteroid called Vesta. The Moon is included as a planetary-type influence, even though it is not really a planet. The definition of influence is: "A power indirectly or intangibly affecting a person or a course of events". As each planet rotates it goes through a different sign just like the Sun. The 12 different signs are: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and finally Pisces. Sometimes planets can have bad aspects when they are at certain distances from each other. The aspects do change as the planets rotate. However, the signs they are in, in your birth chart, do not change. Some signs get along better than others do. Signs are qualities. The definition of quality is: "The essential character of something; the nature of", or, "An inherent or distinguishing characteristic". The combination of signs in our own individual chart just makes us the special people we are. The major importance here is when we compare the signs of the planets in our chart to the signs of the planets in other people's charts. Each planet has its lessons that we have to deal with as we go through our life. The Sun represents our individual way of doing or getting involved with things. The Ascendant (not a planet but your first house rising sign-later described in this writing) is how we appear to do things and look in other people's initial opinions or viewpoints. The Moon represents our emotions. Venus represents how we think about love. Mercury deals with the speed of thought. Mars deals with our strength. Uranus deals with our will power. Jupiter deals with our good luck and if we do things a certain way we will have good luck. One of the hardest planets to deal with is Saturn. This planet is our 'taskmaster'. As an example: When you were a kid you might not have liked to make your bed in the morning but by the time you were 'wise' you knew it was a good thing to make your bed in the morning or whenever you woke up. Saturn gets the job done and the good habits in place. If you don't wise-up then you have the headache of living with the alternative. Saturn never gives up. It's either do the job or live with the headache, not much choice here. Continuing, we also have Neptune which represents 'charm' or personal magnetism, meaning if we behave that certain way indicated by the sign Neptune is in, then others find us charming, i.e., you may have a Virgo Sun sign but your Neptune is in Pisces so therefore if you behave in a Piscean way you will be found to be especially charming to another whose Sun, Moon, Venus, or Ascendant is in Pisces provided that the aspects are good. Finally, we have Pluto which represents our philosophies and how we think politically and otherwise about our earth. These are simplistic interpretations of what the planets are involved with but is adequate for the purpose here. Understanding these energies and their combinations and aspects when thought of as in comparison composite charting will give you insight into the power of legendary people like Rasputin or Svengali.
Understanding these energies can also reveal the reasons why certain teenagers have banded together so easily in an effort to find that certain rapport which is so necessary for human satisfaction and identification. The definition of rapport is, "Relationship, esp. one of mutual trust or emotional affinity". The definition of affinity is, "A natural personal attraction". You may be one individual in a very large family and have no rapport or connection whatever to your genetic family due to the cosmic arrangement of your qualities and aspects. On the other hand, this statement alone can vindicate the parent who tried so hard to reach his or her offspring but could not connect. We all have our own cosmic lessons to learn in this life.To have a genuine, personal bond with another person it is imperative that particular planets are in the same sign in both of your individual charts. When it comes to making lasting relationships that are deep or intimate where there is a special rapport and you know it, then there is no such thing as "these signs go together because they are water signs, or fire signs, or whatever signs". This information is in direct conflict with everything you have ever read about astrology because what you have read is extremely general or 'one size fits all'. It is true that you can 'get along' better with someone whose Sun sign is in the same element such as fire, air, earth, or water as your Sun sign, but,-if we are talking about boyfriend-girlfriend, that kind of relationship, not only is it important that the majority of your elements be in the same thing (air, earth, etc.) but you must also have a particular combination of planets in the same sign between your charts. It is a necessity that the planets in your chart are in tune with the other person's planets in their chart. Planets that go retrograde or change their spinning direction even temporarily affect relationships. I think people can instinctively feel this without really knowing what it is. Too many people delude themselves about their relationships and in the end suffer a great deal. Having an intimate physical relationship with someone is nothing more than that, if there is nothing more than that; and a relationship has to be more than that if it is to last. I have included specifics written by another astrologer. Why this lady's writings have not been more publicized I do not know. She did work for an American president at the White House a few decades ago and was popular then. I do know that she is or was (don't know where she is now) 100 percent right-on with what she said. I have studied her writings for twenty years. In fact, she was not the first to say what she said. It was said in the 1600's by one of our 'astrological forefathers' but was worded so scientifically it was almost impossible to understand. Joan Quigley put this information into modern day English. Unfortunately, the art of interpretation can be overwhelmingly strenuous, especially when one is doing work for a large quantity of people. Not only does it deal with mathematical calculation involving 'pinhead precision', but also intuition and imagination coupled with an unbelievable determination. This could be one of the reasons we haven't heard from her lately. I have included information that came from her book called "Astrology for Adults" by Joan Quigley. I have studied this information and conclude it is the truth. You will be able to judge for yourself. |
