Without malice or fore thought, he pulls the cold steel blade across his thin feeble wrist, not considering the impact of his actions
upon any of his family or friends. His first completely selfish act; and his last.
He looks down, his lifeless corpse lying inside of a beautifully adorned casket, he sees all the ones he left behind.
He looked around and saw the large group of sorrowful mourners,
tears flowing like rivers from their eyes, he did not realize just how many
hearts he had touched. He did not know that by taking his own life he would devastate so many. He was now regretting his selfish act for he did not mean to hurt any one, he just wanted to release himself from his loneliness and pain. Then he realized that he did not have to take his own life, he merely had to pick up the phone. He yelled as loud as he could that he was sorry but no one could hear his cries. Now, he must spend all of eternity reflecting on why he killed himself, and the pain of seeing his loved ones mourning him. So, he said to himself,
"now I know, that my release was actually my conviction."
