Another Life
By Lynda Decker
I died long long ago, empty and alone
My veins run empty, no life line left
I am the abyss, the darkness swallowed me whole
Fear is all I see on the faces
Pain is what I feel as I scan the crowds
They are naked to me, to my eyes, and they ignorantly walk by.
I drink their pain, and steel their pride
And I still remain annonymous.
They don’t believe me, it is their nature.
So I feed from them, as they talk to me
They miss nothing, and I walk away full.
