Creatures from the Sky

By Lynda Decker

I have walked roads endlessly searching for light,

Have you any to shed?

I have taken paths that have taught me right,

I still am driven to wrong.

I have danced many times with the winged beast

But never saw his face.

I have seen two sides of the coin

What one do I prefer?

I need guidence in my life

The one I walk alone.

Who will show me my true direction?

Or is this an endless circle.

I spoke of this before we met,

Questions now are answered.

The dark in life is blotted out

Dissolved away by it’s own poison.

I fell from my path long ago

I was picked back up.

A gentle hand has been guiding me,

Watchfull eyes are my sight.

I can not see him, but feel him near

When I am faced with a choice

He whispers to me, helps me along

I have chosen the right path yet again.

Angels, what would life be,

If these kind creatures we lacked?

With out the one that taught me all

My life would be lifeless.
