"Holidays...." April 21, 2000

Just Before Midnight...

....and it was a long day.

It started witht he overnight client getting up early, and doing everything he could, it seemed, to get under my skin, and The Goddess'. He was hyper, he could not find anything to do that would engage his attention span for more than two minutes, he pestered the dogs, and he succeeded in making enough of a disturbance to wake me up.

I even caught him lurking outside the bathroom door while The Goddess was in the potty.

I wish I could have taken him home poste haste, but it was not practical. Instead, I waited until The Goddess was scheduled to go to a Mary Kay party at her sister's-in-law house, since it was on the way to dropping him off anyway.

I was glad to see him go this week, and I came home to rest until I was scheduled to pick up Meris, Pookie, and Ms. Thang for an evening visit.

It was great to see their shining little mugs this evening. We went to Alyx's, where they played with his kids and painted Easter Eggs. Alyx and I amused ourselves with crib, and I was able to redeem myself after the shit kicking he gave me yesterday at the hospital.

Returning home, The Goddess and I made something to eat, turned on the tube, and downed some tequilla. She is just now off to be din preparation for going to the Farmer's Market in the morning.

All in all, it was a good Friday.....
