Where do we go from here? It pains me that the mission of this website is falling on deaf ears i.e., voter registration, and proactive political discourse in our nations affairs. This site has evolved into a ship with a small crew and a very tired captain. But the course for this site is one that I cannot 'plot' by my self. This site is your site. The SpinDoctor Web Group is here for you, so we ask you to decide for us. Are we an "Asian/Pakistani portal with a kick ass message board and many many links to information", or are we a "non-partisan political website that tries to keep all 800+ monthly viewers informed of events around the world"? For some odd reason I do not see the two co-existing with one another. We are not a news agency; although we act like one we are not one. We have 5 people- at the most- taking care and watching the whole package and time is way too precious to continue working on something that gets nothing done. After a year of this we have become incensed with either doing a better job that keeps you coming back or picking up and leaving.
I would like to apologize to Sakina and Yasser and the rest of the "Douglas Crew" for having let them down. As you all know, Sakina and Yasser frequently were at odds in the message board on countless topics and each provided countless bits of enjoyment for all to see. I have never complained about the time and effort it takes to keep this site updated. Last semester I tried to put all the breaking news excerpts up as soon as humanly possible so everyone gets it as soon as possible. Elian, Pakistan Coup, Election results, Kashmir, Russia, Congress, weather, Stock market, and all that stuff. I tried to keep my views apart from the rest of the stories except in my little column on the left hand side. But who am I kidding. As you can see this site is VERY VERY important from. It has caused a little bit of controversy last year during the PSA elections and hey I hope to do it again.
SpinDoctor.web.com is a great avenue to let people in on some info., a meeting, a fashion show, a political stance or whatever. It has over 120 links to information from around the world and tries to give as much as it can but folks, I am tired. I am here for you and the site is here for you too only if you deem it nessasary. I hope you dont mind all this banter but its about time you knew. If you have any ideas or coments, lets talk about it over dinner or e-mail or what not; I hope to hear from all of you very very.
