However, as it is a personal piece, I think your emphasis on Christian imagery is somewhat overdone. Your intellect (as I've weighed it) demands that you should look more into the world's religions, into what the world has to offer and what you can offer it. The Christian paradigm is only one to explore and I think you could do much more.
Try reading some Joseph Campbell. Your local bookstore should have at least "Hero With a Thousand Faces" if not much more. There are many, many more books available on other religions and spirituality in general. Look up the word "dogma" and realize that 1) it's more than a 'b' movie and 2) it's not a good thing.
Anyhow, your writing is quite good and I recommend you writing more and more and more and more and more. But remember, it is for you but not necessarily ABOUT you.
Cheers, Hobie

Ok.. here's how the cookie crumbles:
This page isn’t for anyone in specific; but it is most definitely about me. This page is about my life (past and present), my point of view, my perception about the world, my opinions, and anything else I might decide to make this page about. After all, I’m the one thing in life I know the best.
I would love to know what my intellect is (as you’ve weighed it), and what you’ve weighed it against. This page is only a small step towards getting into my mind, and even remotely understanding how I think.
Everything under the section entitled "Anon Meanderings" means that they were created by some person who has yet to be identified... Not me. And, as clever, one sided, closed minded, open minded, duel sided, simple, powerful (or what ever...) as they might be; I didn't write them. That's why they're not under the section entitled "My Original Meanderings"... Because they're not mine, and -much more, they've probably got more than one person laying claim to them (especially if they're powerful).
I do agree that there is a heavy emphasis on Christian beliefs, but I also know that sometimes that's what you've gotta do in order to get your point across. (Especially concerning such a subject as religion.)
I'm a Christian... More specifically, I am a Baptist... Or at least that's how I've been brought up.
I do still lay claims to being a Baptist, but I have also formed my own beliefs and tied the two together. I'm no Bible Beater. (NOTE: I don't know what the term "Bible Beater" means to you, but to me it refers to someone who'll beat you over the head with their Bible until you accept their beliefs and views, just as they tell them. No questions, no real thought.)
While I was brought up in a Christian house hold, my knowledge is not limited to simply Christian beliefs. I'm far too complicated, and curious about the world and mankind to be one sided on much of anything. (Though there are a few things I believe are definitely wrong; but they're typically the more disgusting issues such as rape, molestation, homicide, etc... Etc....)
Now, I'm no blasphemer, and that's why I never touched this specific subject until it was brought to light. I'm a Christian -yes; but I'm also a blunt and straight forward, mostly honest but sometimes conniving, poet, scientist, stoic, romantic, simple (on some things), complex (on other things), human being. The major emphasis being on that I am human. I'm not perfect; no one will ever achieve perfection. Because there is no such thing as perfection, because perspectives will vary from person to person, to person, to person, to person... And besides, people tend to be too vague to consider perfection, anyways.
Personally, I believe that there is a Supreme Being, regardless of what they may call themselves, and that while they may have set out a path that we might be intended to follow -we still have free will. I suppose you could say that I'm not simply one relegioned. I don't believe that one religion is "right" and another is "wrong". I believe that you have to read in between the lines, and that somewhere in the mixed mess of beliefs, you're bound to find some kind of truth. In a way I guess you could say that I've sort of blinded my own religion from all that I know. (While not even attempting to lay claims to being a religion expert.)
In a few words, my belief goes something like this: "Do what ever floats your boat, as long as you don't claim innocence that isn't yours to claim; don't force your beliefs and desires on another being and don't let another force theirs on you."
If you want to hurt yourself, fine. It's your life, and you were granted with your own original desires and beliefs; but don't drag others -who don't desire to be involved- into it.
If someone says no, it means no -it doesn't mean 'maybe, just keep working on me and eventually I'll cave.'
If someone isn't involved, leave them out of the situation. If they chose to get involved, then -since they've made that decision- feel free to react however may come naturally; but be aware that there are certain courtesies that apply, no matter the situation.
Respect another as you would wish they respect you; if you show them no respect then don't expect any in return.
When push comes to shove, get up and throw things if it's necessary.
Find yourself, get to know yourself, then don't let anyone bulldoze over you.
Follow the 'chain of command' at first -give the system a shot, then -if it doesn’t work, take matters into your own hands -but only long enough to get the original situation resolved; but always treat others in a manner that you could handle being treated in yourself.
A blow for a blow, and a kiss for a kiss; turn the other cheek as long as you can, but don't be afraid to stand up for yourself. If someone stands up for themselves, appreciate the courage it took to do so.
And one of the primarily important ones:
Don’t be quick to judge another; people will always surprise you at one time or the other. Mankind -as a whole- is weak, reliant, and so many more ‘undesirable’ traits; and so is in no position to judge anyone. Besides, you cannot tell if a book is going to be good or not by reading the first paragraph alone.
I have many, many different things I could say were my key points of beliefs, but I’m going to leave it at these, because I’ve rambled enough as it is…
