The above picture is how I looked in '93; care to see a blast from the past? I loved my naturally curly hair, especially with the new 'do' I was given back in, gosh, was it 1975? Everyone raved about it, but dad just said I reminded him of comedian Marty Allen. Can you believe this other picture is of me? Yep! Taken while on vacation in California in the summer of 1981.
El Grupo traditionally goes out to eat after performances. This picture was taken of me with Los Salazar, Adrian and Ruben, after Spring Show 2000.
We also gather to watch a video of the performance, and this picture was taken during the 2000 Video Party.
We love to party! Someone snapped this picture of Jenny and me in my kitchen! Here;s another photo of me - caught at work!
Cindy! This picture was taken after Spring Show 2000 outside Anna Hiss Gym. Cindy was a graduate student from Taiwan; what a sweetie!
We hosted the Ballet Folklorico del Gobierno del Estado de Veracruz again in March of 2000. This group photo was taken just before they returned to Mexico.
I travelled to Laredo, TX, to give an intensive dance workshop to high school students from Corpus Christi and communities near Laredo. The photo was taken just after the two-day workshop had ended, April '00.
My dancers were invited to participate in the grand opening ceremonies of the new Austin Bergstom International Airport. Pictured with me are Nicole and Adrian.
