O.J. is composed, concealing his diabolic character, Evil and malice veiled in his piteous grimace, All his sharp-dressed lawyers dancing attendance, The prosecutors jostling for more media attention: It's a long, lively day out in L.A. Tim McVeigh is only a vulnerable victim, boyish, A misunderstood war veteran, a clean-cut terrorist, And his media-savvy lawyer grants winning interviews, While Federal prosecutors release damaging evidence: It's a long, tense day in Oklahoma City. A mail clerk could go beserk, shoot up the post office, Or an irate father go insane, murder his whole family; Oprah would no longer have them on her show, too negative, But Geraldo, Maury and Jenny will still exploit sadistic cruelty. It's just another long, dramatic week in America, Where no one seems to know the difference Between facts and false information, Or what is news and what is entertainment In the wild spectacle of reality TV.
