Keep up the good work of helping writers connect. --Dan *********************************************** hello from Michigan, Saw your posting on the visual arts message boards and found your webpage. It's great! What I really like about writers is their rather clear definition as to what constitutes good writing. Several topics I created on the VA message boards attempt to have people try to discuss "what is Art" and "Why is it important for society". Many of the responses seem to have the notion that "art is in the eye of the beholder" and that "anything you think is art is art". A very sad and confused idea about the power and glory of art, I think. But writers seem to have a better grip on the 'craft of writing' and its place in the 'art of writing' --joope ************************************************ I absolutely love, am very impressed by, am finding inspiration in, your Web site!! I will come here often. I'm inspired by the quality of your writing, your philosophy as explained in "goals for site", and by the classy presentation of your site. Kudos!! --Diana ************************************************** Well, I'm very impressed..... I find all too often that the WWW has little or less to offer to the common intellect. You have provided a refreshing alternative and I want to thank you!!! --GG ************************************************** Think this is one of the best ideas I have seen. I'm new to the internet and unsure of myself you have a very nice place to come and visit. I enjoy writing and it has been a few years since I shared with anyone. --Eugene ************************************************** Great web site! One of the best I've seen and well worth the visit. Thanks for taking the time to make it available. It must be a lot of work. I'll be back again. Bob **************************************************** Hi, Greetings from the little Republic of Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean. I joined your page only very recently, and I want to both thank you for being so generous as to share your talents with the untalented rest of us, and to also congratulate you on your outstanding literary and philosophical output. Best regards, Daphnes ****************************************************** Thanks for the nice alternative reading spot. I've enjoyed reading some of your work, and I'll be back! You poked at a couple of weak spots in my heart, which is a good thing. I'll file your page under "friends." An engineer in Orlando. ****************************************************** Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I like your site. It is easy to use and not full of a lot of graphics and stuff that slow things down. I know people like to complain more than compliment, so I just thought I'd let you know that you're doing a good job. Laurel One ******************************************************* Thank you for having the diligence to create such a valuable site for the public. Sincerely yours, Jim *********************************************************** Hello, I just wanted to tell you I enjoy your writing. Your work flows. Michael "Timor omnis abesto" ********************************************************* Hello, I was browsing the Internet and rather occasionaly found your site, and then... Then I was glad I did it, because I could be your guest for a while at your home page. Okay, I know you don't need to hear how good or bad your works are, but please let me tell you not about a grade, but about feelings - some of your poetry (especially, I believe, Lost Love) could make me feel probably the same that you could feel at that time when you created your poems. I'd like to appologize for my English - it is too far from perfection, because there is just one reason (not an excuse, of course!), and this reason is that English is not my native language. Nevertheless, I am able to understand and feel everything, maybe because a long time ago I tried to write some poems, and now suddenly I was surprised that some of your poems (the mood and sense) are very close and understandable to me - I wrote about same things, I had same feelings. I'm not doing this anymore for a long, long time, but sometimes I live through my memories and like sadness leaves a trace in my mind. Good bye and have a great day!!! My best regards, O.K.(this is my initials) ***************************************************************** Hello, I visited your site, and was impressed by your enthusiasm for the medium. Good luck with it, Robert *********************************************************** Subject: Your home page. Hi. I found your post in the newsgroups and thought I would check out you site. I liked it very much. I'm really not a great lover of poetry but I have always thought that if I tried I could write something nice. I like how your poems seemed to deal with current issues. To me, what little contemporary poetry I have read rarely expresses reality. Yours seem to though. I got the impression that if I were to write something it would be similar to your work. It is very interesting to me. Anyway, thanks for the entertainment. --Dan ****************************************************** Subject: Just a note I ran across your page from Cyberhopper. Just finished reading "Homeless Hannah". Great story! Made me think of my days on the road and being in bus stations all over the states. I saw many Hannah's. Take care, Karin ****************************************************** Subject: Impressed Just read the poem CHILDREN OF THE STORM and it was beautiful!! --Trudy ***************************************************** Subject: your thoughts I am reading some pieces of your soul you simply exposed in poems. I don't know if I will be able to say more but it is incredible how they speak to me. Thank you. Just the Christmas day I spent looking for some answer, and thanks to the lovely and missed Carl Sagan... May your gifts enrich themselves deeper and deeper. *********************************************************** -
