The Joy Of Sharing
Just to share with you what I came across. Longhouse version.......
Six months after the Tuai Rumah was appointed postman, not one piece of mail left the longhouse. When deeply concerned postal officer from Local Office District Council investigated, the Tuai Rumah answered,
"It's simple, the bag ain't full yet".
The Officer explained,
"Our bag doesn't have to be full for us to share some of our many blessings with others. We don't have to be wealthy in order to give a portion of our time, talents & resources to someone less fortunate. We don't have to be in perfect health to serve others, community, our church, our organization, or our nation. We don't need to be a literary genius to write an encouraging letter or card to a lonely person.
We don't have to be a professional musician to have a song in our heart, to whistle a happy tune, or to provide harmony in the midst of discord. We don't have to be a talented orator to express a kind word to a child in need of attention or approval.
We don't have to be a Miss Malaysia or a handsome Keling Gawai to brighten the lives of others by giving them a cheerful smile. We don't have to be a YAB or Very Important Person in the eye of the world in order to be a genuine friend and to brighten our corner of the world.
If your bag isn't full, that doesn't matter. Use what you have.....share what a beneficent creator has so generously given to you...enrich the lives of others with what you now have, and soon you will find your cup running over with joy!"
