A Gift of a Rose

Here I sit pondering, There I lay dreaming.
Ghosts of the Past and Future days Haunt me.
The world spins slowly in my brain, I look...
Examining the world so to make a better one.

A Black and heartless void streches towards me,
enveloping the whole of the Earth.
All that glitters turns to dust,
All that shines turnishes.

Through the dark haze, a tiny light remains.
One small creature still lives,
one small rose glistens in the cold sun.
Without help the small beauty will die...

All my heart wishes to heal this land,
All my soul strives to grow again.
And I look to the flower,
and see why it survived all the rest.

The sight is simple, and now so clear.
'Tis love that lasts. Love is that flower
that would survive the storm.

In that knowledge, the world made right...
I offer you one flower, and one light.

Please share this with others... Pass the light along.
