On Aphrodite's island, Amanda's holiday should have been lighthearted fun . . .
Instead, her holiday trip to Cyprus is overshadowed by the unexpected and horrible death of the petulant Julia Blaine . . . and by the strange and menacing things that are beginning to happen to her -- as if she, Amanda, was the person the murderer was after.
Then there was the mysterious, deeply attractive Steven Howard, a painter who didn't quite seem to fit the part.
A compulsive, exciting and romantic story, Death in Cyprus is M. M. Kaye at her thrilling best.

My Review
Thrilling. Absolutely thrilling. Reading this, I was curled into a chair as tightly as I could manage, holding it with trembling hands and reading with shining eyes. This book is definitely worth the read! 271 pages long, which isn't long enough in my opinion, it is a wonderful read. It borders on scary, which is about as scary as I can stand.
On a ship heading toward Cyprus, Amanda witnesses what is later revealed to be a murder, but Steven Howard convinces her to keep it quiet. The sinister bottle of poison that is under her pillow was the cause . . .
Amanda has several adventures on the island, but few were good. This is a wonderful 'whodunnit?' mystery, and I did NOT know 'whodunnit'!! Even to the second to last page (or thereabouts) I could not tell who was guilty! And it is the last one you would suspect . . .
I will not write a word more for fear of getting hate e-mails for spoiling the plot. Read this book, or, if you have, read it again!!
